Do not fear death, for one thing you may forget is that you have already experienced death, you see before you were born, you were dead. You were in the state of non-existance which we call death, you have been dead for billions of years now and only recently have you attained life. When you die you will return to the state of existance you were in before you were born.
Think back as far as you can, now think before that, that my friend, is death.

This is like your 4th thread today, your death is nearest.
For my next trick, I will need a condom and a volunteer.

If you're gonna make so many threads, at least make them good ones.

So you are assuming that because we were nothing before we were born that we are now more at ease with death and not existing?
Your half-baked philosophies confuse me.

We weren't dead because before we were conceived we never existed.
Wikipedia says:
"Death is the permanent termination of the biological functions that define living organisms. It refers both to a specific event and to a condition, the true nature of which it has for millennia been a central concern of the world's religious traditions and philosophers to penetrate; in particular, the possibility or otherwise of what is known as life after death."
So if we had no biological functions then we couldn't have died. Wikipedia says so. If you think we were spirits floating around waiting for a baby to inhabit then GTFO

OP didn't say we were spirits. He/She/It means that the non existance of ourselves as we know it is the same non-existance that we face when we are dead.

Too bad unless reincarnation or another form of afterlife is real, after our second death, there is no continue. It's perma-Game Over.

I don't know why.. but I thought of these lyrics when reading this thread. "You give a little love and it all comes back to you."

I used to lay in bed at night and really freak myself out over that shit. Getting anxious to the point where I'd just be up all night. But I've come to terms with it. I was always just worried about going back into the cycle of the world. I didn't want to be given this body just to have it be mandatory to lose it to dirt in the end. I didn't like the thought of my perfect skin covered in tattoos just rotting away like that.
So I decided that I'm doing everything in my power to hurl my body into space when I die. Hopefully modern technology will be advanced enough to be able to offer trips to space for cheaper than it is now. My ideal plan is to actually have a small pod type deal that I'll piggy back up on a shuttle in. Go up there at like... 85 playing Cid's theme from FF7. See the moon n shit. Then just wait for the oxygen supply to run out. Completely isolated from this fucked up world and maybe just a little closer to God. Maybe he'll see me better away from all this mess haha. I'll get to say goodbye to my wife, family and whatnot without dying in my sleep suddenly. I never wanted to be waiting for death to creep up on me.
Just picture that... deciding when to go, say goodbye to everyone in a sick leather jacket, aviators and a cig hangin' out the mouth. Grand children seeing Grampa look the most badass he's ever looked. The most triumphant music playing as I walk off to me fate. Forever to drift right out of this galaxy forever to be preserved as the drifter who drifted right out of this galaxy. Goddamn history books boys and it's not just some fantasy bullshit either. Going to talk to NASA and see if I can the ball rolling around 40. Try and have at least $150,000 to boot. All my pension will be going into this because that moment is just simply worth more than money to me.
