It's been around 4 or so years since I was last on here and WOW have things changed. Looks as though a lot of the posters from back in the day have come and gone like -Frank- and SlipperyMooseCakes, along with some of the good 'ol mods like Newgrundling, DanMalo and DarkArchon. Sad to see.

But anyway, I'm PodocarpusClock, one of the original members of the CC (regrettably). Anything important happen on here in the last few years? LOL

From what all of the older users have said, the present-day Newgrounds is terribly repetitive and of a low quality when compared to the newgrounds of your era.

So, hopefully you will rejoin Newgrounds, but I warn you that the BBS and other parts of the site may not be as good as you remember them (apparently).

Also, Tom is married and has a child on the way.

Yeah, there were some GREAT times back in the early 00's, I was mainly a lurker (which is why my post count is so low) but it was still arguably the most hilarious place on the web at the time.

It sounds weird, but I'm welling up just thinking about it. The guys on here were a big part of my teen years. They helped me make it through high school. Now I'll never interact with most of them ever again.

I don't know how much of an impact the Clock Crew has on NG today, but they caused quite some havoc back in the day, which is why I'm in regret of ever helping found it. I'm very anti-crew now, as nothing good has EVER come out of a single one of them.

I know what you mean by culture shock I was off newgrounds for about five years and just started coming back on the site four months ago, alot has changed on the BBS (I was an extreme lurker way back when, but I still miss the way it used to be) tA lot has changed the bbs is clogged with spamm and this site is overrun with punk 13 year olds (no offense meant to none punk 13 year olds)

It's just too...Techy. And sophisticated. I like my NG simple, like it used to be. It's just far too flashy and corporate now.

Exactly. Not only is it related to the fact that as you get older you out-grow most of the popular humour on-site, but i guess it must be subconscious that "my time" equates with "me", so saying "my time was better"... you get it. And as for it getting "corporate"... It's not like NG is now property of Viacom. It simply evolved along with the evolution of the web's aesthetics. It's not all that more complicated, if you think about it. New layouts just have that effect on you of "omfg wtf just happened? will any of my important shit be gone with this?"
