does anyone know how to bypass parental controls on Windows Vista? i need to download some files and this internet restrictions is really pissing me off. my mom freaking treats me like im 5. anyway someone please respond if you know how. and don't send links or crap because my damn PARENTAL CONTROLS will block the site. the parental controls won't even let me watch youtube videos... please respond somebody

1. proxies are your best friend, I really doubt Vista parental controls will block the links.

2. learn your parents passwords and adjust the parental controls

Either one will work well, I had to deal with some blocks long ago. I used proxies until I learned their passwords(blocked everything including topics I needed to look up for school projects).

You need to find your parents code!!!:-)

Okay, maybe I wasn;t clear about this before.. I want to download GTA San Andreas because my PS2 version of the game won't me mod simply because the PS2 isn't a active computer. So my mom blocked me from downloading anything so all I need is knowledge on how to bypass parental controls so that I can just download the damn game and some mods. God..why do people always have to say "ohh! downloading files?! must be porn. yep absolutely porn!" So can someone actually help me out instead of arguing with me about porn. Sickening.

Oh my fucking god. I swear I hate people right now. LOOK. all i want to do is download a game so that I can play it on my computer. it can't fucking be illegal or it wouldn't be on a public access download site instead of some underground network or site. its unharmful to my computer and whatnot, but think, what parent wants their kid playing a game that involves shooting, sex, gang reference, drugs, alcohol, cursing, etc. ? *Sigh* this is getting WAY off topic. I suggest you simply uninstall the parental controls program. If downloading things is all that's blocked, just delete or uninstall the program, then put a password on the entire computer so that your mom won't be able to reinstall it.

If your parents didn't set up anything to block Proxy websites, then I'm afraid your last hope is links, since your account is not an administrator and all. I hope this works. If not, your absolute last hope is to go down on your knees and beg to your mom, and I mean beg. Kiss her feet. Do the dishes daily. Clean the bird's cage. Do your homework. Everything. Show her that you're a big responsible boy now and you can handle yourself.

Anyway, are you well into the teens? Then you shouldn't be over-protected like that.

P.S. This belongs in the "General" forums, not the "Video Games" forums.

To get rid of the parental controls, find the .exe file for your internet browser in the Task Manager panel and simply terminate it. Then go to the cmd or run and type in the exact .exe file (make sure you add the .exe at the end)

It worked for me, but I'm not sure how your parental control works...
