Coming from a guy who is 18 and has been with a girl for the past 2 years, I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with Achilles. I can't explain to you how I know that the girl is the one for me, and that what we feel is true love, I just know it. I've already given her a promise ring, and she means everything to me. So don't say that you can't meet the love of your life in high school, just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean its impossible. You just come across as bitter and cynical, so fuck off

I wasn't even looking for a relationship in high school, I just lived my life and got out of there as fast as I could (didn't like my high school). I don't believe in the whole,"Oh my gosh this girl is the one," scenario you have because anything is subject to change. Your everything one second could break your heart the next. The future is uncertain so you have to be prepared for any sudden changes. That's one of the reasons my girlfriend and I don't love each right now, we're focusing more on our school and we come second. Our futures are unpredicatable so if anything happens as to why we can't be together, we understand.

We don't think so. We despite it being practically seven months we both agree it's too early for love and that we should focus on school first and our relationship later. We trust each other greatly and always get along but we respect each others decisions.
