I've been interested in making beats for a while, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good programs to make beats (hip-hop). Preferably free or a trial, but any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the help.

Check out Acoustica Beatcraft - these are the drums that I and a number of other users enjoy. Very versatile and I believe the program offers a thirty day trial. I believe the full version is cheap to purchase as well, though I don't remember what I paid.
Google "Acoustica Beatcraft" to find it.

Yeah - Acid is pretty good at sequencing beats - you can get Acid Xpress for free from this link
