That's fine. Bonus points for fading in and out your music, though. It would make it easier to put together that way.

I'll be choosing the music based on your animations. I tend to favor epic music, but since there are so many random fbf pieces, I may be using some techno or the like instead.

I set the 30 second limit to help keep the overall filesize down. That way I have room for all the musics. I'll allow you to make yours longer, but the bigger the filesize, the bigger the chance of your animation getting bumped off for space reasons.

Your sun is terrifying.

Here's a quick sketch I did, the main idea is that the roof go down slightly lower than the wall, rather than the top. The doorknob sounds like a good idea, by the way.

Make the roof slope down further than the walls, and cut a crescent-moon-shaped hole in the door.

WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU USING

I will choose music based on your animation. Add your own music if you don't want me to decide.

If you decide to leave out music, I'll do my best to pick something appropriate to play over it. If you don't want any music at all, let me know.

I will arrange soundless submissions in a way to best take advantage of any songs I use.

At 6/28/05 11:10 PM, AppleT wrote: Ill join! is there anyway that u can tell me if there spots? like AIM or something? or can u post a reply b4 i start working like crazy!

Also, let me know your AIM name.

24 Hour Collab Posted June 28th, 2005 in Game Development

This is a quick, and hopefully repeatable, collaboration.

Rules:
550x400 (default) dimensions
24 FPS
White background
Name symbols uniquely (i.e. ZL.Tree)
Break fonts (select the text, use ctrl-b twice)
10-30 seconds
Sound effects are discouraged
Start and end your animations with a white screen.

Deadline:
24 hours from this post

The deadline is the key thing here. Feel free to use any animation techniques in your flashes. Try to keep the animations below the 18+ rating, though.

Animations will be accepted if they display a reasonable amount of effort. The number of total accepted animations will be decided by the number of quality submissions and their total size. I will add music to submissions that do not have their own music.

The four best submissions will be co-authored.

Send finished .fla files to ZombieAbe@Gmail.com. Anything received more than 24 hours after this post will be DISQUALIFIED (however, it could still be included in the next 24 hour collab).

Good luck and get to work!

BTW, the flash is like 2 minutes and 10 seconds so far. And the music is still a little screwed up.

Congrats on your unbanning. I say, fix the music and submit it.

Let's not add any more submissions. Instead, let's name this A 24 Hour Collab (since the submissions for it were done withing 24 hours of the first post). And we can make A 24 Hour Collab 2 tomorrow. We can pump out these quick collabs, and they will increase in quality as more and more people join in and get more practice.

Submit it as soon as possible, we can start the next =D

Response to: FBF collab Posted June 26th, 2005 in Game Development

Maybe we could call these 24 hour collabs? 24 hours from the start of the thread is the deadline. Quality would go up as the series went on.

This one came close - all the submissions were done within 25 hours and 19 minutes.

Response to: Amatuer FBF collab Posted June 26th, 2005 in Game Development

I vote we take out credit music altogether, Silent credits aren't a crime. Easiest way to amke us under the limit.
