Nice to see you read the post, and can think of arguments yourself other than just copy + pasting stuff from other sources.
Do people honestly think that other users read the generic copy paste garbage in a huge block of text? Do they think that people will not accuse them of spamming because their posts are long?
If a game is short, I will not buy it for over $20. That is my rule. The longest game that I have played recently is Blue Dragon - I was about 60% done and over 40 hours of gameplay.

I was confused as to how you came to the conclusion that the author had other flawed games when you had admitted that you had never played them.
I came to the conclusion because simon said that his other games were buggy/incomplete but also received high ratings. His argument was that despite being buggy/incomplete, all of his games deserve high ratings. My refutation was that I am not going to play the other games to find out what rating they deserve, nor do I care what rating the other games receive because I will never play them nor do I care about them.
In general, I could not careless about the difficulty of games (Portal Defenders is fairly difficult), but buggy/incomplete games should not receive medals. Only the best and most polished ones should receive this honor.

Simon was implying that FU2 should not be ridiculed just because it has medals whereas the author's other games are of the same quality but have much higher scores. My rebuttal is that I have never played any of the author's other games.

So are his other games yet they received daily/weekly awards for his efforts. Now just because he's put medals in he's received none than he would have.
I couldn't care less what the quality of his other games are because I have never played them. Given the low quality of this version, I have no plans to subject myself to his other flawed games.

Or make it so you're only allowed to program in medals if your submission gets to a certain score. So games with 3.3odd scores don't get put on the same level as Portal Defenders or Thing Thing.
Fear is currently hovering at around 3.3 and is falling. When I first saw it, it was ranked well over 4.0. I wonder how low it will go.

Please name twenty games that are better than GTAIV. I did not say that it was the best but it is certainly one of the ten best games for the 360, especially with the DLC.

The mode does not matter, but you need to get 100 kills for the weapons in one round without dieing.
I have no problem giving new submissions the ability to have medals but the games should at least be polished. As Auz mentioned, there are so many bugs such as falling through the floor, getting stuck off screen, etc. that make this game unplayable.
May I even propose a new voting system?
The standard underjudgment system remains and then after a submission passes, users get to vote if the submission is medal worthy. I doubt it would ever happen but this game is a clear example: Decent game that should definitively be on NG, but does not deserve medals.

100% agree. Severely unpolished. Too much focus on the out-of-game artwork. Tons of glitches. This game should not be a game to showcase the medal system.
I second that. The game is pretty bad and there are so many glitches. I have no real desire to play it.
This has not be announced yet but it has been rumored that it could relate to your batting average and would be subject to administrative approval to prevent abuse.

My best advice is to get kills with another weapon and just switch to the spike launcher before picking up any ammo boxes. Once, you have sufficient ammo, start shooting!

Ditto here as well. A combination of being very busy now and the portal being completely dead means that I might be in the teens as well. I have no real incentive to even check the portal when I now that there will only be around three UJ submissions when in the past there were consistently eight plus.
I have a question about "Thing-Thing Arena 3" i was playing earlier today and found it hard to distinguish the difference between the wepons. Can someone help me with this, i just don't know the difference between them at all.
It tells you what gun you are using in the upper left corner of the screen.
