I still have to check things out.
Seems like it just kind of died... Everyone's been done for quite a while :(

Pkmn2, you can claim ownership of this collab and say I did nothing if you want to. You've done most of the work, so it's fair.Well, let me hear the majority first.
Guys?
It was your idea, Robo. You belong in it as much as anyone. Even if you are just mentioned as the founder with Pkmn2 as the head.
Can you change my Bio to the contents of my previous post in this thread about digging the Bio page?

I am seriously digging that bio. Great idea with the keyframes.

Replayability. Genius!
lol.
On that note, what if we randomized the order of the clips every loop?
Okay... I'm just going to sit over here and watch...
Can't wait to see it all assembled.

As far as I know, as long as your piece is finished before "mid march" (the 15th I would assume?) you can submit. Just hurry up :)
I'm all finished:

I love Tenchu... I have only played the original and Wrath of Heaven but they both were the greatest things ever when they came out. Honestly I have somewhere around 80 PSX / PS2 games and I only grew out of at most 20 of them....
A few games I still absolutely love playing despite their age:
Diablo 2/LoD
Final Fantasy Tactics / 8 / 7 (in that order)
Chocobo's Dungeon 2
ADOM (old ass freeware DOS game that is still in production today)
Starcraft/Broodwar
All the NES and SNES Kirby titles
The original Legend of Zelda
Age of Empires 2
... And a bunch of extremely obscure PC titles I bought in the dollar bin one day 10 years ago (among them Gateway II: Homeworld, my first experience with a graphic adventure, which was released in 1993)
Speaking of Gateway, another great title is Deja Vu for the NES.
... I could go on for hours.
Only game I can think of off the top of my head that has aged badly is the entire Syphon Filter series 2004 and earlier. I love their story progression and UI but the controls are just atrocious compared to current day games and for a game like that, controls mean quite a lot.

Oh, I'm not done. I just got excited because I've never been part of a collaborative animation project before and wanted to post my silly WIP. I did that in a couple of hours this morning before going to bed, lol.
I'll post the fla and finished swf later this weekend.
WIP! :D

It is a little insulting but nonetheless still valid criticism. If I've learned anything from art school it is that what distinguishes artists from art hobbyists is that hobbyists get lost in tone and can't extract the usefulness of critique.
I've seen Template's art and think he is a good authority on criticism.
@Johnny - I was thinking that myself, but sadly my digital illustration class is intro level which means no one bothers to actually give criticism. Thanks :)

As for this one in particular as a comic the framing and spacing is nonsensical. Some are boxes and some are just random shapes? Why? The text is horrendous too from the bubble itself to the way you used like 60% of the allotted space on a terrible font and a zombie head, why is that there? Comics exist to tell a story and I have no idea what is going on here.
What school do you go to again?
The anatomy of the figures is purposely exaggerated - longer legs, shorter torso, larger head. The composition of the frames provides visual direction for the progression of the viewer's eyes; I don't believe in the necessity of uniform and static frames, I feel that it creates an atmosphere that is only very selectively appropriate. Can you explain why you think the spacing and shape of my frames are nonsensical?
What do you mean by "life or convincing-ness" to the figures? What specifically do they lack?
I agree with you on the text in the middle frame, it's rather awful. The entire bubble didn't really achieve the intention of a newsflash.
Your thoughts are appreciated but you don't really explain yourself most of the time which is what I'm really after here.
I attend SUNY Oswego.
@ JamSession - oh, yes, it is. It's been forever since I've forumed and I somehow forgot that I can look at my previous posts. Thanks for that, but I don't think we can be friends until you quit that nonsense about not liking Chinese food.
I would like to contribute to this... I should have my piece by Sunday night.
Hello there - I made an art thread a long time ago but I seem to have lost it.
Brief introduction - I'm a studio art major in my senior year of undergraduate study. I like dead and cute things, either separately or simultaneously.
Critique, both positive and negative, is very welcome. I crave feedback almost as much as Chinese food.

I don't like the face... At all. It creeps me out. I want to change it but every time I try I just make it worse. I've discovered I have no idea how to draw lips correctly. Opinions?

Alot of your drawings are really flat too, by studying value more it will help pop things out. Also, your anatomy isnt bad, but its not great. i think it could be improved.
I've been trying to perfect the high contrast two-tone shading thing but it's not going so well for me. All of my stuff comes out looking flat like you said. I love that style but perhaps I should branch out more...
New WIP - Please comment, anatomy criticism is especially welcome. I can't decide if her left arm is too long or not - second opinions?

This sounds really cool, I may give it a shot if I have time this week. I used to run something like this on another forum called Themecraft where the winners of each one would choose 3-5 themes and rules for the next round. Perhaps if this gets popular enough myself and some other users wouldn't mind donating small prizes for each round to make it even more popular.
Actually we do have the technology and resources to terraform Mars, the only problem is one of ethics. Changing the entire environment to suit our needs would destroy all forms of life on the planet and likely most of the evidence as well. So without determining for a solid fact that there is or was no life on Mars, it won't be terraformed.
Also, think of how technology has advanced over the past couple of decades. I'm sure by then we will have some kind of working space agricultural system.
Anyway... I'd never go to Mars, not even if I hated Earth. The human mind is fickle and loneliness is a terrible thing. One-way tickets are a definite no.
