Yeah, you sound like me. REAL strats are expensive, but there's a cheapo one that i don't really recommend at all(played, it pretty much sucked). I'm going to go buy a Laguna LE200 soon, and I've pretty much at the same level and like the same style you do. BUT I have to say, you shouldn't really limit yourself Just because you're on an acoustic. Even though you really cant do some things on it, tons of songs sound awesomer on an acoustic than an electric.
The Laguna I'm gonna buy is $250. It's a new-ish guitar.

Try some Jack Johnson songs. Constellations is good. Nothing Else Matters and Fade to Black (Mettalica) are good too.

Don't just leave, at least leave a note and tell your dad so he wont tell the police. I actually don't think you should do it, but i can't stop you, so just make sure you're ready to walk across the country.
Do you have route planned out?(cities to stop and rest at)
Do you KNOW you have enough money?(plan out your expenses and stuff)

Maybe your dad will give you some more money, cause you'll probably need it.

Tip: Keep your money in various places on you. Not all in your bag or in one pocket. Put some in your shoe, some in your bag, some in pockets.

Yeah, i was gonna replace the humbuckers eventually, but i don't know what to get. I want to learn how to play classic rock, rock, (early) metal, pretty much a wide range of styles, so i'd need something that can give a strat-type or les paul sort of sound, and produce a metal-type sound.

I'm planning on buying a new guitar. My price limit is $300, but I might be able to go to $350. I'd like a solid body electric. I will go and play a few at the guitar store, but i can't just go and play a million guitars. I'd like to narrow it down first. I've looked at Schecters, Ibanezes, etc. I just can't choose, because i've never had an electric, and all the reviews aren't very helpful.
No Epiphones.
I've been playing for almost 2 years.
I'd like a strat-type body, no V's or X's.
I play rock, punk, and some alternative metal.(I don't care what you have to say about my tastes)

Uh Cap'n, i think that was a blister you popped, calluses don't have pus/blood in them. Calluses are just tough, thickened skin.

SO I've finally got some guitar care kit, it's great. Help keep mah guitar shiny and sounding good.

My main problem now is locating good songs that just sound great on acoustic, and are a little advanced. Searching on Google is a waste of time. Also, most of you guys are metal guitar people.
