Don't attempt to access nested movie clips either. Use variables instead.

Like player.nose.x, player.nose.y where nose.x, y are actual points and not nested movie clip values.

var nose:Point = new Point(0, 5);

I took it down since I was threatened by someone who already stole our previous versions and posted them on NG portal.

There are some wackos on this site.

Anyhow, I wanted to update everyone that we are reorganizing and have a new team and the 3D dream i still alive and well.

I just got the chance to work out a few problems I was having with the new engine. Updates on our site (TogaGames) later today or tomorrow.

How about no visible projectile?

In reality you would not see a projectile.

You would simply calculate the projected path, angle, and hit factors.

Also, I would add a reverse push on the whole tank body for better recoil effect.

If you want a "projectile" just add a smoke stream coming from the barrel.

Topic: Predetermined NPC pathing help

Posted: 12/01/09 04:28 PM

I'm thinking like railroad tracks.

Each "step" is equal to every other step so the timing stays the same.

Your array of travel is each whole number * speed. So keep speed as a whole number and every array step equal (1)

It will work just fine.

If each array step is one and your speed is 7 you just skip 7 "steps" each time. Simple. Just determine direction and go speed++ through the array.

Dime a dozen. Also we can use voice-altering software.
At the beginning of his post he asked for VAs. So why not answer questions that are only directed at you?

Because I know he's adamant about not letting anyone else in. Just giving you a heads up while he's not here.

I do apologize about the offhanded thing about voice actors. I realize there are very good ones. People make careers doing it. No offense there.

Just add an extra layer/MC INSIDE your background mc. Give the instance name "boundary", and then have the players do collision detection on it.

You need to make a background layer and make it scroll the opposite way of your character's movement + make it move slower than the first background, otherwise known as parallax scrolling. Look it up.
