World of Warcraft is probably the best MMO out there, but I wouldn't advise any MMO to anyone simply because it takes up so much time and turns people into outcasts.

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. I bought it for the xbox and was playing it at my friend's house, it was just fucking awful. The multiplayer was broken and I just had a shit time playing it. I cycled right back to the shop and exchanged it after playing about 2 matchs. It's a shame, because 007: Nightfire was fucking awesome.

I only played a demo for both games but to me they seem exactly the same. I know tomb raider games do a minor graphical update every single game but overlord doesn't seem to bother with that.

The idea of stealing is trying not to get noticed, so it's the same basic idea apart from downloading pirate movies/music it's easier not to get caught.

He should be ok, I was a bit concerned at the 10,000mg of salt he'd be consuming but that's only 10% of a lethal dose.

Go for it if you think you can, but personally I'd go for 10 boxes of popcorn chicken rather then the tastless white filth of McNuggets.

I'd say it's like teaching your kid to walk. You don't tell him how to, you just shove him and he starts walking. I guess it's like he sees everyone standing and does that too, like you hear/read everyone using proper grammar and it's imprinted how to in your head.

It's called the elevator something or other, if you step into an elevator and everyone is facing to the back of it, then you will do.

Topic: Your Most Played Game?

Posted: 07/03/09 09:24 AM

Forum: Video Games

Here's a task for you, work out what your most played video game is and roughly how long you've spent on it. I think this could be interesting.

If The Orange Box counts as one game, then my most played is this.
Half Life 2: Finished it twice : About 15 hours per playthrough = 30 hours
Half Life 2: Episode One: Finished it two and a half times: About 5 hours per playthrough: 12 hours
Half Life 2: Episode Two: Finished it once: About 5 hours per playthrough: 5 hours
Portal: Finished it twice and gotten bronze/silver medals on most of the portal challenges: About 10 hours
Team Fortress 2: Adding together all the time the game says I've spent as each class: 82 hours 45 minutes.

Overall: 139 hours and 45 minutes. That's nearly six days, it's 8385 minutes and it's 503100 seconds.

If the orange box doesn't count as one game, then my most played game is still Team Fortress 2.

What about you guys?

I don't think finishing the game on hard counts as a hard achievement because sooner or later you're going to get it through trial and error. Contrary, my hardest is Brass Balls from Bioshock, finishing the game on hard without dying.

I was confused by the fact that there are several different counters depending on what part of the world you happen to be in. You have to admit, saying it's 2009 on one side of the world and 3309 on the other side of the world sounds like a really stupid idea on paper.

I guess the only place that you could go where the title of the year actually matters would be the middle or far east, and even then commucation for most people would consist entirely of shouting and waving their arms. Or shooting at them.

Cheers for clearing this up for me, everybody.

Well your "friends" seem to be under the misconception that the label you've been given means you act like everyone else under that label. I know plenty of chavs and emos and yes, most of them are cunts, but some are nice guys.

Anyway, I'd say you're attracted to the shyness because it gives the girl some sort of mysteriousness and you're intruiged by that. Also, the male brain probably links goth with "being into kinky stuff", at least it does with me. (And rightly so, every goth friend I've had has been into all the real whips and chains stuff.)

TLDR: Your friends are dicks and there's nothing wrong with you.

Are BCE & CE used worldwide or just for convinience in the west (or USA)? I don't think I've ever heard those terms before in England.

AD isn't after death, because then his death would happen straight after he was born.

What I mean by the original post was that isn't it kind of stupid to have different areas of the world saying that it's different years depending on religion? I think that the title year should be dependant on scientific knowledge rather then religion despite the fact that it's an over 5000 year old tradition. Just seems to me like another excuse for the religions of the world to argue.
