Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I wouldn't know where to begin with that, as I can only animate and have extremely limited actionscript knowledge. I may have to look at other ways of doing it than flash. My idea is simple coloured bars that move slightly to the beat of a song, very subtle. Not sure if it is possible though.

I am looking into flash based audio visualisation. Is it possible to have a few elements on screen that react to sound. BUT the sound would be an external source eg an input from another device (ipod or stereo).
