Because one of the fundamentals of democracy is freedom of choice. If you're forced to vote, then that's not a choice.
Forced democracy is a contradiction.
Despite what you may believe, abortion is not murder. Murder is a legal term. So is abortion. They don't coincide.
I'm persoanlly against abortion in all forms, but it's not murder.
The bible says a lot of things. The only people who take every word completely seriously are the fundamentalists, which there aren't any here that i'm aware. These people also comprise a small percentage of most christians in the world.
So your sad, sad attempt at somehow demeaning christianity as a whole by making a broad and completely uninformed generalization has failed miserably.

In America, the mandatory appeals and paperwork that must take place for an execution to occur acctually costs more than keeping someone in prison for life.
If it's not that way up there, then i'm glad I don't live in Canada.
God's very nature defies logic. So why would anyone try to apply logical questions to something that isn't logical?
So, knowing this, there can't be an answer to any of those questions.

Ragnarok, it's a big ass battle where all the Gods die.
Much <3 for Norse Mythology.
Right, because all of those people are members of the Republican Party, which is, of course, completely identical in ideology throughout the entire world and periods of time.
The fact that he was morally reprehensible and politically opportunistic has absolutely nothing to do with his stance as an ally of America and Britain during World War II.
He attacked our enemies and personally aided us in several ways. He was our ally.
The entire Democratic Party bit the dust about 6 years ago.

I don't think God had to, it's just that he chose to, in order to give a representation to his forgiveness, or some such.
Fuck, I don't know. I've given up trying to understand God a while ago. It's useless to try to make logic out of a being whose very exsistance and nature defies logic.
New Question:
How is political apathy a disease that needs to be cured?
If people don't want to vote, they don't have to.
Or the government could just be a tard about it and make it mandatory.

So you're mad at them for not respecting other people's beliefs....then you say what they believe is wrong?
How are you any different from them?
The simple fact that innocent people have been killed through the death penalty is enough to warrent opposition against it in my eyes.
That kind of shit should NEVER happen.

East side, rather.
And things do need to be demolished, but most of those things are in Chalmette and St. Bernard Parish.

Um...no?
I live on the west side of the city, and my girlfriend lives on the west side. We're both fine. I can drive to her house, acctually, most roads there are completely clear.
Most things that are still sectioned off are near the lake, most other things are completely open again.

It's not.
Which is why I don't.
The Bible has been credited several times as being someone's source for violence. It's scripture has been cited as excuses for everything from mass suicides to murders to rape.
Ban the Bible.

How can you know when something gets sentient? You can't. There's no sentient-o-meter that i'm aware of.
I still don't think that someone should be denied their right to live just because someone decided they shouldn't, though.
Meh, I really don't know why I argue about this anymore. I wont change anyone's opinion, and no one will change mind.
Plus, I kinda look like an idiot most of the time, since you're a fuck ton smarter than I am.
I passed a kidney stone.
That's not really a surgery, but it does hurt like shit.
Imagine if someone smash your nuts with a 150 lb hammer.
That's about it.
My cousin's middle name is Link, but my uncle is a gaming geek, so it makes sense.

Isn't that what your brain is?
Serious question, I don't know.
Y'know what Nagin did? He personally went around the city with a fucking loudspeaker with a few of the city buses begging people to get the hell out. They would have gone to the superdome(which I admit was a bad idea), but it's better than staying where they are.
And no, I don't have any proof of this, and no one has even so much as mentioned it anywhere, surprisingly. I'll try to videotape it next time a hurricane decides to fuck my life over.
I think there was a program called Black Entertainment Awards(or something to that effect) that honored Halle Berry for one thing or another...details aren't really important.
The thing is, Halle Berry is only half black. Does that mean that everyone with a slight bit of black heritage in them should be allowed into these awards, and other similar functions? Or should there be some sort of cut off point?

I enjoy that website, you should too.

I personally still lean towards punishment for the crime, but I do see the other side, and was wondering what your guy's views on this subject would be.
Just because he forgot about it doesn't mean he's a different person.
Now, if someone else's consciousness gets transfered into another body, then yeah, I can see that working.
The Roman Catholic Chruch has to keep a lot of it's values consistant and regular. That's how it survived all these years. I seriously doubt the Roman Catholic Church would be what it is today if it simply changed all of its beliefs and practices willy nilly based on the popular opinion of the times. The stability of the church depends of this relative conservatism. I don't necessarily believe in every word they preach, but I don't want to see it's integrity crumble either.

Anyway, I believe in the basic core beliefs of Christianity. The Trinity, Jesus' ressurection, and all that jazz.
Everything else is open to interpretation.
