I think a point that has been missed is the fact that they chose with class in mind. In America, a land that has no different social classes, one would find it hard to meet a match using the traditional methods. However, if one was to ignore the traditional methods and just look for the best child out there, with the best job and the best family, many people would be put out. And also, isnt this against American rights? Free choice.
While some may want it, i dont think that all should have it. This is free choice. Perhaps as an option only, but no more. (i dont want my mother picking my wife, she wouldnt be too good looking and probably wouldnt have too much of a brain.)
And on a side note, since im not all to familiar with this concept of arranged marriage, Could it be possible that a lot of imbreding may occur? If you think about it, some may not wish to share their blood.

I believe that the next MAJOR war will be between US and China. A few years back we "accidentaly" bombed a chinese embassy with a smart bomb. Then there was the spy plane incident. China has openly decliared a resource war with us. Well, youre wrong. The WTO is gonna stop this, just like its stopping it right now. The US is complaining because American Processors are being taxed at 17% while Chinese Processors are being taxed at a meer 5%. While this may not be the same resource warfar, it does go to show that organizations like the WTO will help to stop these kind of things from going on. While i do agree that the next war will be with China, I dont believe it will be over resources or industry.
Personally, I believe it will be over some sort of government sponsored terrorist act. While this seems unlikly, or even dumb, we attacked Iraq because we thought they were sponsoring terrorists. (other reasons too, but lets leave those for other threads.) I believe that China will send a terror group here and try to blow up a nuclear reactor. It may seem improbable, but it is possible. There may be other ways, but this seems like the easiest way to piss America off.

And id like to see how this would work with small businesses. Would taxes still have the same effect. For example, a friend of mine named jeff has a business that made 2 million dollars last year. Which is pretty good, Except for the that one-third of that money was taken and used for taxes. Thats about $650,000. That amount of money could fund my household for 16 years. So would taxes be lowered, increased, or would they stay the same?
