Your 13, how bout you return in like 2-3 years than start submitting more when your more skilled.
Age is irrelevant to art skill.
Yoshiracer, what I would do is practice more, and when you're submitting, don't check the "Include this in the portal" button, because your drawings seem, frankly, to just be sketches.
What's the difference between drawings and sketches?
In a picture such as this one, it looks like you took barely any time, your fish are the kind where you just loop around, etc.
That's the only kind of fish I know how to draw.
Just keep practicing, maybe invest in a scanner if you are serious about drawing?
I have a scanner. It has to get plugged into the computer and it has a lot of wires that run the computer.
Also, you might like to get a nice pen or just an average pen for that matter, it will make it look a lot cleaner when you're done if you outline it in black ink.
I was thinking of a darker pencil
I wouldn't say quit, but I would say be patient, take more time with your art, and just keep practicing. Also, if you act insecure or not confident about your art, people probably wont like it as much either.
I used to be similar to you, asking people if I should submit art, but frankly, it's a little sad/pathetic/annoying, I did the same thing, I tell ya, and nobody is ever happy with their skill level.
JUST KEEP WORKIN BOY.
Maybe also make original characters too?
I made this guy and he's called "Dino-kid" The picture doesn't look good though.
If you do want to pursue an art related path, Nintendo fanart wont get you far, I'm guessing.
But my Metaknight drawing
