If I don't already have a ban can I send death threats?

Topic: Selling domain name - any tips?

Posted: 06/02/09 02:08 PM

You either transfer or push. If it's at the same registrar as the recievers account then you push, if it's at a different registrar you transfer. Transfering will cost, normally, 1 year of registration fee and will add 1 year.

So if you have "google.com" registered with godaddy.com and you want to send to Edward and he has a godaddy.com account you simply "push" to him, the domain will then be in his account and this process is free. Pushing can be done whenever you want. Pushing is instant.

If you have "google.com" registered with godaddy.com and edward wants it in his moniker.com account you'll need to do a transfer. A domain can only be transferred once every 60 days and only 60 days after a whois change. Transferring can take up to 7 days, often 2 or 3. It will cost you 1 year of registration fee to transfer, this will extend the registration date by 1 year from the day of the transfer.

Text messaging is private and to a single person, twitter is to everyone. Imaging text messaging as a conversation, you're in a room with one other person, twitter is like standing on a stage and shouting to everyone listening to you, they can all hear at the same time and reply.

Are you sure? I'm sure I've seen a flash game that provided this; you'd record yourself and it'd manipulate the voice, so it must have saved the voice somehow, however I could be wrong, might have been java? Question for the flash forum, I think.

Honestly, I would actually go with Java or Silverlight for this. It is much more likely that one of these technologies will already have libraries that can be used for audio capture and encoding than flash does.

Seems like the right route to take then :P

Twitter misleads you, the proper interesting people don't just use it to tell you what they're doing, they use it to broadcast messages, things they've found interesting, etc etc. here's my homepage, with some tweets from people I follow:

Peoples problem with twitter: They see it as "What are you doing?" and nothing more. Twitter is not face book updates, it's a way to communicate with everyone easily. If I release a new CD and I have 1000 followers, I can tweet "new cd!" and 1,000 followers will see this message.

It's simple communication on a large scale, it's NOT "I'm taking a piss lol".

Personally, I find adverts on personal sites horrible and I dislike it immensely; you're trying to sell yourself as a designer/programmer, the $5/m from adsense isn't worth how badly it looks.

In regards to the design, I like it, maybe try some varying colours though, the black is nice but it seems to... samey?

I dunno, if it was you wouldn't you "freak out"? He seemed to stay relaxed, he didn't grab him and shove him off, he just sat there looking bemused, also, wouldn't his body guards have been grabbing him and dragging him off? There was easily 5 seconds off eminem being ballsacked that went without any intervention from the guards, same with eminem himself, why didn't he move when the legs were going near his face?

I'm sure it was staged, maybe not to the extent that they told him it'd be balls in face, but something was planned, maybe it was just taken further than expected?

It probably won't be too hard to find something that already exists, however you could always have something built if you can't. It shouldn't be too hard, use flash to take the user input and save it, then upload it to a server using PHP.

Thing is, you guys seem to want us to loosen up on you, and at the same time be complete saints ourselves.

I think it's more that if you're going to be so strict and demanding about the way we post, we should expect the same from you. If the rules were to be loosened, and we weren't banned so often and you were less strict, we'd be fine with you messing around and being silly. I have absolutely no problem with moderators making silly threads just because you're having fun, it's when you do this and expect us to be oh so perfect and ban us for the stupidest of things.
