Read the above. I sold off my Playstation 2 last week to some woman. We had agreed on a price before she came to my home to collect the PS2. After looking through the accessories and examining the unit itself, she decided that she didn't like the power cord. The plug is a Chinese/Japan-type that isn't standard in Malaysia (UK plugs). Boohoo. She asks me to shave off RM10 from the previously arranged price, which I agree on. She leaves with my PS2 and pays me RM440, or about $120 USD.
I bought that damn thing only two months ago in Shanghai, China for $180 USD with all its accessories. It's fully chipped and the like. The next day, she sends me an SMS at 5AM telling me that one of the controllers is faulty and that its shoulder buttons aren't being detected ingame. Bullshit. I had just been playing Gran Turismo 4 and Neo-Contra on the PS2 the day before she picked it up from me. We hammer out a compromise and I agree to give her RM50 towards the purchase of a new controller. So here I am, left with only RM390 or $106 USD after selling off what is essentially a brand new PS2.
She just started sending me PMs on the forum linked above, telling me that the PS2 has been hanging during gameplay. Supposedly the PS2 works only with 110V - Malaysia uses 220V. Once again, pure bullshit. I've used the PS2 with both voltages. I like Sony products for one reason - their adapters are always universal and can be used with both 110V and 220V.
So now she asks for a refund of the PS2. She wants to return the PS2 to me and at the same time, demands that I give her RM30 in compensation for her time and her gas costs. That's $8 USD only. Granted, it's a small amount of money. That's the background behind what you see above :]
