No line noise, low latency, plus it has a pre-amp built into it dedicated for guitar.

most soundcards also aren't prepared to handle the high frequencies the guitar puts out,so when you put it through the mic in or line in you get distortion

USB is the port of the future,it will likely replace a lot of other ports on the PC...it's a lot faster than most of them so pretty soon it will make them obsolete

who knows...maybe one day even your keyboard & mouse ports will be USB

note lengths

1/1
1/2
1/4
1/8
1/16
1/32
1/64

i don't remember but i'm sure FL has an option to devide the grid in piano roll according to those note lengths, your tempo also dictates certain note lengths...i guess you haven't messed around much with music, after some time you'll naturally be able to tell the length of a note

But i'm talking about looping it so it loops with no pause inbetween.

if you mean an exported file it has to be a wav,mp3s don't loop well

you need to answer a few questions first...what do you want to record?? do you want to record direct to PC?? how good is your sound card??

if you just want to do vocals then what you have should be enough for direct recording, but if you want to record instruments you might have problems if your sound card aint good enough

Yes, thats pathetic but I'm explaining to the best of my ability.

that is confusing lol
as for panning that really depends, some units have built in panning, like redrum,it has panning for each channel
alos you can use the line tool to make the increase or decrease completely uniform,so you don't get any bouncing effects :)
