Alright, last one for this week, I'd love a review, feedback is always welcome, and even if industrial's not your thing, I'd still love to hear your opinions

Audio portal question Posted February 4th, 2013 in Audio

How come I can't find myself in the list of unscouted artists? I was trying to show a friend that I put all my stuff on NG and ended up having to log in and show him through my own account. If this is simply me being unaware of simple protocol or some rule I didn't read I'd love some clarification

Alright then. I am a new industrial artist looking for some feedback. Reading over the rules it says I can do up to three submissions, so here's 2 of mine I'd like to have reviewed. I'm unscouted if that makes any difference.

I am a new musician on NG, submitting primarily industrial work. Though I do play the drums in real life, these pieces are all electronic.

There we go, all my submissions.

File submission question Posted February 3rd, 2013 in Audio

Before publishing a piece, the following line is displayed above the 'submit' button:

Your audio will NOT appear on the public listings until at least one project manager is approved by our moderators.

I don't know what a project manager is. How can I expedite this? Or is that just internet speak for 'people need to like this before everyone can see it'?

But in short, I think all new artists have to be 'scouted' by an already approved artist, which then allows for your work to be seen in the 'approved artists' list. You'll get some sort of notification that an artist has scouted you and all you have to do is approve it.

Does that explain why my profile seems to be the only place where my submission is available? I tried searching for it in 'unscouted', couldn't find it

Also, what's 'Approved' vs 'unscouted'? Is that just a satus of 'well known author' to 'new guy to the site'? Or is it something very different?

It's my ignorance. I'm aware that movies have to go through a voting process prior to being permanently attached to the site, but audio seems to have a different set of rules which confuse me

Audio submission Posted February 2nd, 2013 in Audio

Okay, so I read through the terms and conditions, and I'm not here to screw things up or troll, but I must admit I'm quite confused. I submitted a piece under industrial, which was a bit of a fight in and of itself, then it said I was unscouted, so I clicked on it, and the LINK is gone. Also I don't see myself in the list of recently submitted audio, no doubt due to the pending status of my submission. Can anyone help me understand what the procedure is to get my file from 'unscouted' or whatever the synonym is, to something along the lines of in the audio portal? Though I'm web savvy and programming savvy, I'm not newgrounds.com savvy, so I would appreciate some guidance. Thanks a bunch.
