There are fast food places in France, and the average diet is about as calorie-filled as the US and UK's average diet. The red wine that the French drink supposedly helps with the digestion of the fatty foods (cheese, bread, etc.) that they consume, thus making it easier for them to maintain a lower obesity rate.

I know. We spent most of our time just walking around the city. We only had about 10 minutes to look at St. Pauls' Cathedral, and we didn't even set foot in front of any of the theatres. Then some fucking moron decided she wanted to go THE ENTIRE FUCKING WAY ACROSS LONDON TO GET TO ABBEY ROAD. ASFDFGASDGSAFD9RAFS. WHY DID ENGLAND DECIDE TO FIX ITS WATER/SEWAGE SYSTEM ONLY TWO YEARS BEFORE THE OLYMPICS, THEREFORE CAUSING THE LINE WE NEEDED ON THE UNDERGROUND TO CLOSE THEREFORE CAUSING US TO WALK FOR TWO HOURS FOR TEN MINUTES OF FUN FOR ABOUT THREE PEOPLE?

tl;dr Fuck the Beatles, their fans, and whoever handles the water and sewage system of London.

Anyway, back to the FF, is there like any new trailers or footage of FF XIII?

None that I know of. Lost Odyssey is still fun, though.

Why is Gordon Freeman even in the contest? He is literally supposed to be an extension of yourself, not an actual character that has his own story.

Topic: Apple Vs Windows

Posted: 09/23/09 05:07 PM

The only three real differences between Windows and Mac are:

1. Macs cost more for the same amount of money (but that goes for all Apple products).

2. Windows is compatible with just about everything, and you'd be fairly hard-pressed to find any major potential employer that doesn't have an unspoken "Windows Only" computer policy.

3. The commercials make me want to kill people for Apple's inability to actually say what Macs can do, and instead paint a caricature of Joe McHillbilly's virus-ridden computer.

To be fair, Achievements are merely a rip-off of the Skill Point system that Insomiac put in their R&C games. Insomniac was owned by Sony when they did this, so if any corporation can be accused of theft, it's Microsoft.

Then again, Skill Points actually gave you some neat stuff, so I guess it's more of a botched theft.

Actually, superheroes weren't seen as "kids stuff" until the mid-50's.

And to be fair, I've never met a single person who could reasonably call Captain America or Spider-Man any less badass than someone like Big Boss.

I played Lost Odyssey from the part where you find Mack and Cooke to the part where you escape Numara on a boat. I still cannot believe how sad Lirum's death was.

Also, it may just be me, but is Cooke's VA one of the kids from Rugrats?

Topic: Texas Meetup?

Posted: 06/15/09 11:23 PM

I'm not sure if this would work or not.

On one hand, Texas is a big place with lots of people (and therefore could contain a lot of NGers). Hell, I'm willing to bet that Texas contains more than 300 members.

On the other hand, there are a lot of problems. Texas isn't like the UK or New England, where tens of millions of people are condensed within an area smaller than 1/2 to 3/4ths the size of Texas. There could be transportation problems (if the location is on the opposite side of the state, you're almost entirely screwed from the get-go if you're unable to drive) or money problems (you'd have to pay for more than gas if you live outside the city it's held in), and that's just off the top of my head.

On the other hand, most of this could be fixed with the right person/people organizing it. If it ends up happening, then I'm all for Houston being the meeting place.

I don't think you can be overrated if hardly anybody knows of you in comparison to Master Chief or Cloud. Definitely not overrated when looked at in proper context.

Hell, the highest-selling MGS game was MGS2 (8 million copies), in which you played as Snake for a grand total of an hour.

imo those other characters look too stupid to be taken seriously, only good one is probably Rorschach.

The point of the book was essentially SUPER HEROS R DUM, but yeah. Rorshach was cool guy.
