I'm making this sim-ala-minigame-ish flash game and I've been trying to program it myself by now, but it seems I'll get a lot more done faster and better if I'd let someone with some kind of actionscript experience help me? Of course you will be co-authored and if any cash is earned, we'll split it.

Here's some samples:
SAMPLE1
^^Haven't made the 'middle-background' yet + still need to add some details here and there. You will be able to walk around town (later being able to buy a car).

SAMPLE2
^^Being able to rob the place or simply buy some food, if you choose to kill the guy running the place, it will be closed for a period (couple of game days) of time. I've thought of some kind of a "robbing"-minigame?

SAMPLE3
^^This is just the main character seen from the side with different mouths.

Okay, you control this little guy walking around the city (later being able to buy a car). You can either live a normal "sim-game"-life, you can choose to deal with missions (GTA style, but on a simple level, containing different kinds of mini-games and stuff like that) or both at the same time.

Well, either let me know in this thread or PM me if you're interrested or if you want to see more samples (I can't really post anymore right now, because I've to go to bed haha:D Yeah, it's pretty late here!)

Okay, I want the "Home"-bubble to like, follow the character (stay on stage), but I can't figure out how to make it do so.. You can check out the swf I've uploaded (up there^^) to see what I mean.

Basically, you write:

I know this question is kind of noob-ish, but I really need some help! My problem is, that for some reason I can't create any variables?

Example:
var name = 1

To check if the variable have been created, I created a dynamic textbox named "name" and check if the number 1 appears in it, but it doesn't? And it pisses me off!D:
I've tried alot (like: _root.name = 1), but nothing seems to work so I'd appreciate some help? Thanks in advance..

By the way, I'm using CS4, set to AS2.
