Again, not an option. Mainly because it'll end up hacked open with CheatEngine like this anyway...
hey Luis! Neg! People are in your game, hacking your goldz!

I never understood why you would want to 'hack' a Flash game. It doesn't seem worth the effort if you ask me. Then again when there are dozens of millions people playing your game I suppose there are always a few hundred who find it is worth the effort :)

Also, if I needed to pay to save in a game I would quit the game, straight away. It would have to be a really, really stellar game for me to consider paying for it. There are hundreds of other free Flash games on the web where I can switch to just as easily to get my 30 minutes of fun and distraction.

That was quite an interesting read! I'm glad I'm a student and not someone who has to make a living out of advertising fees, if that's even possible. I see Flash as a hobby that happens to make me a nice amount of cash. Although I've quit my job recently to be able to spend more time on Flash so I guess it's my job as well now... Still as a student I don't have to make 10 games a year to live a comfy life.

W.I.P. Feedback Group
When I'm working on projects I think it's very valuable to show my progress to friends or family because I find it very easy to lose track of things when I'm developing entire projects on my own. Sometimes you spend way too much time on things no one will ever notice, while other times you completely miss things that should be included. It's hard to take a step back every now and then and take a look at your project from your average user's perspective. Friends and family are very useful for this, but most of the time they're not really part of my target audience, they aren't brutally honest and they know nothing about Flash.

I'm sure some of you suffer from the same thing every now and then, hence I thought it would be a nice idea to exchange some contact information so we can send out some W.I.P. projects every now and then, and hopefully get some feedback from each other. I don't want to make a post in the Lounge every time I've worked on my games (besides, we all know that the Lounge isn't the best place to get feedback). Neither do I want to share these things with everyone via my userpage. I don't trust everyone there with ideas and such that are still in early stages of development, but I think I do trust you Regs.

If anyone out there thinks this is a good idea: Maybe we can arrange this via MSN/AIM or maybe a mailing list or something like that?

Oh yeah: Maybe all of this sounds silly as I don't have a lot of MSN addresses and the like from you guys and you already do all of the above. In that case, I want in, add my msn: xeptic(at)gmail.com

I must say for a non-native English speaker of 11-years old your English is quite amazing. But like the rest said: Don't spend your entire summer on Newgrounds, go outside and build some tree-houses or whatever kids your age do nowadays.

Walking Cycles

Am I the only one who walks around the house timing oneself with a stopwatch when trying to draw walking cycles? I've been walking around like a knight all afternoon. Good fun.

I should've noticed that zombies/bullets thing. Can you paste the entire function from start till end? And include it code tags? It's getting hard to read.

try:

for (var i:int = bullets.length-1; i>=0; i--) {
   if (ground.hitTestPoint(bullets[i].x, bullets[i].y, true) && bullets[i].currentFrame==1 ) {
      bullets[i].gotoAndStop(2);

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but that should work.

That's what makes it so funny.

On that note: They were going to cremate Michael Jackson, but that didn't work out he because he's 99% plastic. So now they're melting him into little Lego pieces so little kids can play with him.

It's not something everyone will do for every game. If your game is good enough and it has some great upgrades/features, out of the hundreds of thousands of players there will be some stupid enough to spend money on upgrades. That's how it works when working with large quantities of people.

That's pwetty, but not really my genre. I've been listening to West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum - Kasabian, and Tonight - Franz Ferdinand lately. Both albums have been out for a while now and when I listened to them a couple of weeks back I didn't like em all that much, now I do. Funny how music grows on you, it almost always does.

They lose money every year on YT at the moment. I can imagine why they'd want to make it more profitable by showing ads in front of popular videos. Can't say I like it though.

The in-game achievements aren't linked to the NG medals, I could've done so but that was too much of a bother to be honest. If you have unlocked the in-game achievements you have to complete the challenges again for the NG medals. The NG medals should be completely glitch-free now, the latest version has been approved and uploaded.

I thought I fixed that pause-glitch by the way...
