Ludum Dare is coming up very shortly. Google it if you're interested.

Essentially it's a game development competition that lasts 48 hours. If you advertise as a Matte Painter, you will be highly in demand as that brings an immense amount of life to any given scene.

I'm just finishing off the game design program, 4 months left. I might be contacting you for some freelance work if you're interested.
