Im not sure how much different your computer is from drawing but... What i do is kinda look at the general shapes of what im drawing. Example - and arm has two long ovals and 3/4 circle for the hand. I actually have an example of a picture i did. Its kinda passed the blocking in phase and i started to add detail on top of the general shapes of the figure.
A rule of thumb i go by is males chests are like the shape of a ribcage, then u add the stomach under it. I actually left the bottom of the ribcage on this guy cuz hes a skelleton man. Then throw in a sixpack or a beerkeeg under the pectorals depending on what kind of dude u want to draw.
Women however are upsidedown triangles for chests. If theyre facing head on u extend the two arms of your triandgle to make the arms of another right below it. This triangle is aboue 1/3 the size of the first (very roughly guessing off the top of my head). The second triangle below it is the pelvic bone. All womenly features are smaller then males except for the thigs. Draw ur thigs a little bit bigger and curvatious for women. Hope this helps.
