Yes, religion definitely should be allowed to exist. However, it should be totally voluntary and non-governmental because that`s when things start to get bad. Religion really is the opium of the masses, but in most cases this opium is harm free and only brings upon good morals and optimism.
Elements of theism and atheism make sense, but as a whole, I don't think one religion or atheist belief can solely ring true, as its ultimately coming to a conclusion that which has shown to be inconclusive.
Actually I am a pure atheist and I think atheism does make the most sense. Agnostics argue that you have no way of really knowing, but I have seen everything in my life work and continue without any sort of supernatural interference, so I have absolutely no reason to believe in a god and I have seen flaws in every religion I have read about. Unless you have experienced some kind of spiritual intervention then there really is no reason to even affirm the
possibility of any kind of god or higher power, just like you wouldn`t think *MAYBE* there`s a monster under my bed, even though I have checked under there and never experienced anytihng a monster under my bed would do.
