I wouldn't mind something like this. It's certainly useful on sites like Deviantart and Youtube, and would be handy for those wanting to keep track of their favourite artists without glaring at the portal in vain hope. And like DA you could have it alert about an artist's news posts, including ones not posted to the front page. It's debateable whether it should go in a seperate segment to the Inbox, though.

Out of interest, how do you go about dealing with customs charge for international purchases? Kinda sucks when you win some store credit to get some free stuff only to have to pay about half the cost so you can actually have it.

The version they showed off ran on a 360, and given the fanbase I think we can say that one's a given, though if that last sentene is to be believed, there could be some support for other platforms. All depends on how the staff can adapt to other formats (since PS3 is reportedly harder to develop for and Wii obviously has technical limitations.) Early days, yet.
