GTAIV improves SA in some aspects, but also removes a whole host of the stuff that made it fun. Planes, parachutes, bikes, fitness, gangs, territory, property, open plains, tanks and jetpacks are just some of the awesome things they removed to supposedly make the game more realistic.

However it does boast amazing graphics, superb physics and a very in-depth storyline. Definitely worth the buy but as to whether it's better than SA is down to taste.

I generally dislike fighting games for exactly that reason, they're fun to play with people like yourself who don't know all the moves, but all it takes is one person who knows how to 'SUPER DOOPER HADAKA BLAST' and you just can't win.

Once it becomes more advanced, like actually strapping sensors to parts of your body to simulate your real movements then it'll be something worthwhile. Right now you can just flick your wrist and it'll give the same effect as a massive swing of the remote, seems pointless to me.

True, but who's done that?

I know I'm a nerd so I read up on the backstory for all the games, even the MSX titles. It's easy enough to understand once you get your head around SPOILER

I still don't really understand what Solidus was doing...

I just found a neat new way to hide spoilers

Yes, probably about ten times.

Then read the transcript of the game.

Then read every article on the wiki.

Then have Hideo Kojima explain it to you.

And even then, maybe...

I know, how did the name 'Flea Market' become generally accepted? It just makes me think they're either selling fleas, that fleas are having their own little market or that everything sold there will be filthy and I wouldn't want it near me.

I would've called it 'AWESOME TRADING OUTPOST', then we'll see how popular it becomes.

Enough with the cliffhangers already.

Why would they do that?

Halo isn't a 'story' to them, it's a cash cow which they'll keep milking for profit. That's the reason these people make games, for profit.

Wish I had a NES or a SNES, once I start getting a disposable income I'll probably get them just to have a huge nerdish collection. Lucky you getting it for free, buying carts for it should be cheap since they're old enough to be considered junk but not old enough to be considered vintage, unless the game's particularly rare.

Have fun building your collection.

Explain?

I really don't understand, since as far as I know Steam is just some program that gets in the way of me playing TF2 and for some reason likes to list all the games I have. Why exactly will it stop PC Gaming from heading down it's grim, fated route?

Oh thanks!

Ugly is subjective, unless your face has been mangled by a train wreck you can still buy some nice clothes, get a trendy hairstyle and all the shallow people will think you're hot shit. Being smelling can be fixed by a bath and confidence comes usually after the other two.

I don't know about the DA thing, but basically every 'joke' from 4chan has either come from SomethingAwful or some other website but was quickly taken and spread around 4chan like it was there own.

Out of the huge sprawling mass that compose /b/, there might actually be 0.01% of people that are actually funny once a month, and then that joke is repeated over and over for years and people call it a meme.
