I've gotten this a few times. It's just an ISE message that's suppose to be funny.

The problem with the nuclear situation, though, is we still have to do the following to get nuclear power:
1)Store waste
2)protect waste for security reasons
See the other thread (wherever it is) for the part on Yucca Mountain.
but beyond the usual complaints
3)harvest nuclear material
No diffrent than mining coal, rock, or even gold.
4)process nuclear material
Refineries cover more area.
5)transport materials using petrol
Trivial. Most plant components and stuff are shipped by train, which is the most efficient (and one of the cleanest) form of transportation.
6)transport employees to work and worksites using petrol
how's that diffrent from what people allready do? Again trivial since a plant would only require a few hundred people.
7)maintenance of power lines to bring energy from plant to grid using petrol
..... It'd be the same story for green power also. No matter what type of power it is you still need power lines to get it where it needs to go.
Many potential wind and solar setups could minimize employee involvement in the energy process, as well as the distance power travels before reaching its destination (especially if panels and turbines are powering the building they are on). Especially, solar water heating is very affordable for commercial and housing industrial buildings.
People won't want fields of solar pannels next to their town, and of course the idiots who whine about the wind turbines (even the ones on buildings).
For individual buisnesses it would work, but not on a large scale, especially since most middle and low income class families can't afford it (to me it seems like NOBODY gives a fuck about the low income class, especially politicians).
I'm not against nuclear power. I think we're going to need to rely on it when the shit hits the fan and some catastrophic milestone involving polution happens. But the title of the thread is "wind and solar power are viable," not "nuclear power isn't viable."
We're definitely gonna need it sooner or later. It's just a matter of convincing blue America we do.

Me on the left, step-dad on the right :D
Sounds right, since that thing in the second photo is a very old sickle bar mower with iron wheels (for cutting brush. It was either towed behind a tractor or a team of horses from the looks of it)

meat.
Stripped of feathers and ready for cutting. I think the 2nd one from the left is the one i ate on Thanksgiving.

It's called brainwashing. And that's definitely what's happened with Obama. I think people voted with their heart instead of their brains, because he is the 1st black president, and they were blinded by that fact and the idea of by voting for him they can say they had a hand in history.
It's a very advanced type of solar that involves catching solar energy in space, where it is much stronger, amplifying it with mirrors, and beaming the amplified solar energy to solar panels on the ground. For starters, this would require launching something into space, most likely a network of satellites. The costs of launching aside, this system's speed, trajectory, and alignment to terrestrial solar panels has to be perfectly synchronized all the time. Not only is the potential cost of this maintenance immense, but if something goes wrong, the amplified sunbeams could misfire and start bombarding the planet. And at that distance from the Earth, even a slight misfire could mean the difference between a collection plant in rural Ohio and the streets of Manhattan. Knowing what my microwave oven does to organic matter, I don't think I'd want to be there when that happened. :
LMFAO. That reminded me. of something This type of power plant is avalable in the Sim City 2000 game. And just as you say, sometimes in the game the energy beam misses the collector. Oops!
Damn how long has it been since it was on last? That was a good one. I remember seeing the toys on sale in a local store back then.
DAMMIT i'm hungry now.
BRB I'm going to the local Sonics for a bacon cheeseburger.
Depends on if it's authentic or not. If it is you've got something. Even if it's a repro it should be worth more than $2.00.
Here we go. Found an article on it.

The only troll here is YOU.
You're a whiny pussy boy who's just like a far left liberal. When they get cornered on one of their statements they go off on a rant on the other person.
I'm eating meat and no peter sucker... i mean PETA sucker (same thing) is gonna change that.
BURRRRRRRRP.
I'll tell you how bad it's gotten.
Last year someone posted a message on the Battleon.com forums (no longer there, there's a thread on it in the Court Records forums though) about a virus they caught. Miley.exe.
As soon as they started windows her rip off of "I wear my sunglasses at night" by Corey Hart started playing on repeat, and they couldn't shut it off, or mute the sound because it locked out the sound pannel! And if they tried shutting it down it restarted.
Somebody needs to be crucified for that one.
The're top 40 metal song list was great. Iron Man was #1 on it.
Or was that on VH-1 Classic i saw it? Whatever the case long live VH-1 Classic, the only place to go for metal that matters.

You missed my point. Some idiots don't speak for all of us. It's not proof "Greenies" are hypocritical bastards. It's proof that some are. And I've seen those running along the roads. Like I said. IDGARA (I don't give a rat's ass)
I didn't say you were in that last post. I would've said it if so. I was answering the 2 points about the lines.
I found a good one at a truckload tool sale (Cummins Industrial Tools) for $30.00. It's a .177 cal single pump with a muzzle velocity of 900FPS. It's not cheaply made either, the stock is solid wood. And the front sight is somewhat like an AK 47 one (not suprising since it's chineese made).
I've had it for7 or 8 years and it's still working. The neat part is after you fire it, when you open the chamber a little smoke (or steam?) comes out the barrel .

Example: Solar panels and vertical axis windmills can be placed directly on urban buildings to power and heat them, without transmission lines.
Personally, I think the lines are a fine idea, unless they destroy too much natural plant-life, such as by going directly through forests or marshlands. However, if they ran along roadsides like most powerlines, I wouldn't see the problem. See: Proof that not all greenies can be generalized by what some say.
The lines are out in the middle of the desert until they get close to a city, but they still don't want it.
And the're not the same as the poles along the road. The're the big metal tower ones (as in the picture below) which HAVE to run in as straight of a line as possible, which makes it hard for them to follow a road.

Yep. That's what i'm using (because there's so many poorptunities).
Here's another (Not as good as my last two. Sucked a little at redoing the title):
Fuck off vegetarian. I and millions of others are going to continue to eat meat no matter what you say. And there's nothing wrong with it. You act like its a crime. Because you are a pussy. That means you are a thick headed, insecure, dipshit that makes the world the piece of shit that it is. It is you who is a pussy because you dare not venture outside your comfort zone, you dont dare think logically and accept other peoples opinions. No, your a pussy because you cannot stand that you do not have a logical argument that is superior to mine.
Just another bleeding heart PETA shitface who only says it because they can hide behind their computer. Definitely a troll also.
People are gonna eat meat and the're isn't a god damn thing idiots like you can do about it. And if you try many of you are gonna find yourselves laying face first in a ditch.
I don't have anything against vegetarians, just the ones who try to force their beleifs onto others (same story with religious people).
Man i could smell the pot coming from the comments through my speakers :P

Some freaks might say 'if everyone thought that way, then THAT would make a major difference'Actually, a lot of people DO think that way. Statistics show that in any given election only about a quarter of the eligible population actually votes, half if a president is involved. In other words, you're the one representing the masses, not me.
I know my vote doesn't count for much. But if I'm crazy to think my vote counts, I'd rather be deluded than apathetic. And besides, if McCain (*cough* Palin) had been elected and I hadn't voted, I'd be kicking myself for not at least voicing my opinion on the matter. Voting, if nothing else, is an exercise in speaking your mind, and it's a right that we're lucky to have.
As for my opinion. Someone else said something about voting, and i agree with him. (Watch this video before HBO pulls it off Youtube)

Fanboy alert. So much for "fair and ballanced" here :/
Don't forget... Your vote DOESN'T count with the presidential election, because whoever "they" want in will be the one (and this election was a win-win for them anyway).
"Them" being the Illuminati.
Don't look at me this idea comes from the TFHB. O_o
I uploaded my 1st video to BestonVideo. The Admin. has to approve it before it's posted (same with your avi). It took overnight so that seems to tell me it's one person running the site ATM.
And unlike with Youtube it was approved, even with the music :P
Sounds like invasion of privacy to me.

The supreme court is a liberal shithole. They allready proved that with their ruling on eminent domain that allows land to be taken forcefully for buisness purposes (when it should be for public purposes ONLY). Liberals are gonna be in the control the 4 crucial areas now, which means our freedoms are gonna be completely fucked.
Here's proof greenies are hypocrites.
Click on the video titled "Green revolution (with the wind generators).
Basicly the're are plans for dozens of wind and solar sites planned in California, but all are on hold because to get the power to where it's needed (from the middle of nowhere) 3 new transmission lines need to be created. And the enviromentalists don't want them because they could affect wildlife, even if their buried (which can only be done for short distances with hi voltage lines like that).
My message to them is: PUT UP OR SHUT UP YOU DUMB FUCKS. Clean power or wildlife conservation, you can have one or the other but not both so which is it?. Those lines aren't gonna hurt wildlife anyway they've been arround since the early 1900's.
I've been getting them for awhile also. One of my MSN contacts is seldom using it anymore, and despite him being offline i get MSG's like that from him that have MY MSN name in a link to a site. The first time i checked the link (took a chance) and i wound up on some site where you had to put in your MSN name and email address (i think password too) . In the're "about us" part they said the're not a phishing site.
BULL
FUCKING
SHIT.
If anybody's dumb enough to fall for that they deserve to be hacked.
It ain't coming back because it never existed in the first place.
don't feel bad it's lt's like that in my area ATM too. The wall furnace is running and the oven's on with the door open, and my hands are still cold as i'm typing this.
8 bit all the way...
Got a few more also.
Desperate times call for desperate measures :P
