on(release){
//V frame variable V
_root.activated = true
}

frame code:

onLoad(){
_root.activated = false
counter = 0
}
onEnterFrame(){
_root.yourtextshower = counter
if(_root.activated == true){

The better a computer is, the faster it's processor clock runs. The faster it's processor clock runs, the faster it'll execute the game. Simple, eh?

Read forum rules pl0x:
"Do not bump an old thread if you don't contribute something new to the topic."
Or something like that.

No, I think it'd rather be:

Lazy bum's game = "Wet dreams for the sake of nrop"
Lazy bum's game.time_taken = Lazyness * normal duration
normal duration = 8 months
Lazyness = over ninethousand

You click on an enemy, and a glass box appears around it. The enemy can't move and the box slowly gets smaller. Any enemy in it would die, but you could make exceptions, like angry clouds or wtf.... a spider which is so small it can't be crushed.

Oh and the goal is to hit the good(green-dotted) enemies to collect points, not to kill everyone by using a submachinegun. -.- Just play the game, you'll see.

My new game Posted March 4th, 2009 in Game Development

Hi guys!

While I was bored, I decided to start making a game. So I did and thought it could become a nice game, later on. I'm now done with the basic engine and some upgrades and really wanted to hear what you guys think, what I should improve, etc.
Arrow keys to move, hit enemies with a green dot in centre, collect points and spend them to upgrade yourself, your weapons or your bunker (get in it by falling in the hole to the bottom right.
So, after playing the unfinished game, which can be found here, I'd like you to:

Tell me what you think of this version;
Tell me what weapons/defences I should add;
Let me know what the third upgradeable thingy could be;
Tell me what to improve on the enemies, physics, controls or anything really;
Tell me what new enemies to add.

You WILL be credited.

At 3/3/09 11:57 AM, Johnny wrote: That should solve the first part of your problem.

That'd make you able to jump,release the key, jump, release the key, and on, without the character touching the ground.

I just got this AS2 Vcam, for Flash 8, from http://bryanheisey.com/blog/?page_id=19 .
It works quite well, but when i test the movie WITH vcam, it makes the animation look slightly longer than when I test it without.

Any help?

Response to: Holding up action script. Posted March 3rd, 2009 in Game Development

You're lucky I'm bored.
Hold on, I'll experiment.

Oh, and ehm.... it's way better to use AS to let the character jump, it's easier and the hitTesting won't mess up.

The "Jesus" hand and the "Zeus" hand have brought me on an idea; at a certain time, like after defeating the 5th boss, you can pick ONE or TWO god hands, out of many. Each has its own abilities and stuff and you can upgrade them along the way. However, you cannot switch god hands after you picked the ones you wanted.
