That statement is partially true. Clannad wasn't a run of the mill moeshit harem garbage and it actually had some sort of depth to it. "Very complex" is pushing it, but the story was very moving and I think it would be a bit ignorant to brand it as a "low-class" anime.

Just watch the first season and the first episode of the second season. You can watch the movie understanding everything and not spoiling anything else from the series. The quality is bad, but I really didn't mind it. Glad I didn't wait until the dvdrip to watch it.

So, I couldn't wait any longer for the haruhi movie to hit dvd and watched it. Fuck, what a great movie. Some parts had me d'awwwwwwwwwwwwwing so hard. Quality was shit, but I'm going to rewatch it when the dvdrip comes out. All you need to watch to get the movie is the first season and the first episode of the second season. Any haruhi fans here should really check it out.
