What I like in a boss is...

-2 forms for the enemy
-1 form stupidly huge, but fun to fight (think Ganon in ocarina of time(
-Other form with similiar fighting style to you (shadow link is an example, but I prefer it when he has his OWN moves)
-One form should need a puzzle to win, the other should be pure mayhem
-Cinematics
-If it's an Rpg, it needs to have a "Pure Death" attack. Supernova and apocalypse sums this up.

That's about all I can think of.
