At first I was really excited, and got colors based on the month or season (I.e. red+green in December, orange+black in October) after like a year I realized that was stupid and always got black from then on out.

The existing air intake in the Cobalts is, I shit you not, like 6 inches from the ground, under the headlight and near the front bumper. It I put in a cool air (at the very least) I'd take off all the plastic engine covering and have it near the top. I'm not arguing with you, I'm just weighing my options. As for the turbo, you've convinced me not to do it. $80 for the intake doesn't sound terribly unreasonable to me though.

a tune up is still a tune up fix timings change fluids and check lines etc and you still have to pay for time and labor and materials thats how they get you.

if anything save the money for a new car go for something like a new Subaru WRX or a Mistu Lance Evo, save up 5K as a down payment get a parent or something to co-sign for you for a loan at the dealership and your good.

Yeah my brother had one of those. Pretty cool little thing it was, V6 and all. He had some work done to it to with a cool air and yadda yadda.

I suppose I would own one given the opportunity, but the new Cobalt has already been purchases and we're just waiting for the recall repairs and such to be done. Make do with what I got.
