Hmmm.. Had to bust out the old portfolio for this thread.
And I stress "old"
I do digital now, but majority of it is hand drawn first anyway.
All of this is drawn from national geographic magazine pictures, or national something.. I can't remember.
Cheetahs! o.o

yes.
Either his right arm (left corner of the pic) is too wide or his chest on that side isn't wide enough.
Do something friendly like a unicorn or something.

10 is a win.
The guy with the wings the legs are like poles.. need some thickness and muscles like the rest of the body.

Then how can they say that my skill is mediocre, if they don't like my version, they r saying that the actual artist is mediocre.
Yes that's what their saying. And truthfully I've seen better aswell.
Yes the redraws will be mediocre at best.
But congrats on upholding your pride so much that you missed the point -_-;
The point was... for you to get better than that.
unless you enjoy getting you pieces ragged on?
To get better than that you need to stop trying to drawing like the other guy and take what skills you have picked up and apply them so you can improve.
But you can only do that by drawing your own orignal stuff.
And BTW your friends that can't draw / relatives and such... will tell you "it's good" but here where people spend time looking at art on a day to day basis, seen many styles and improving their skills, you'll get a much more accurate critique.

well post what you CAN do and well go from there..

Ugh...Dude no one is "rag"ing or your stuff...
well actually thats a lie... >.>;
anyways..
Post some original stuff and I'll be glad to help you out man. I know a thing or two about drawing Anime n stuff.
And by "original" I mean like your own character or something. Something that dosen't belong to someone else.
BUT!
When you try to draw what someone else drew, critique is almost pointless because, you have no room for expansion. You're drawing skill will be limited to the skill level of the person you are drawing from.
Re-read the text in bold 5 times
...You get what I'm saying man?
The peeps telling you to draw something original aren't trying to be assholes..Theye are saying, take the next level and draw your own stuff and without looking at stuff so you won’t be bound to a reference drawing that you could potentially improve upon.
#6 = win.
You should apply some color to it, give it a nice BG and all that jazz
Reminds me of locks on WoW
back when I was playing...

Any art you post must be your own, with the exception of images used to start a Photoshop thread, which may come from the public domain
If you are starting a new topic, you MUST start with a piece of your own original art. If you are looking for advice, please share your work as an example of what you are trying to accomplish.
Making a new thread is redundant.. just go chill for 30 mins.
What if everybody made a ne thread foe each picture?
The BBS would loose any orginazation it originally had.
