Put it this way, if you can't find just somebody you belong with (as opposed to a group of people, I guess) then maybe - just maybe that's better for society in general because you don't run a risk of causing STD outbreaks, wind up as a murderer/victim, or better yet - don't take part in a stupid devolved act of pleasure. Humans are at this stage able to comprehend who they belong with because you are likely having children/having no children with a particular partner, and that means it takes two to make something.

It does take several to make something nice, but nobody wants a "Maybe." Because Maebe will probably try to go to second base on her actual cousin Steve Holt, who she doesn't realize is actually her cousin.

SUPER SPOILER BONUS ALERT HYPER TURBO SPOILERS AHEAD

I spent some time figuring out the timeline of Mega Man, actually. I haven't quite got Zero/ZX/Legends series down all the way, but this is what it looks like:
- Megaman 1 through 9
Dr. Light and Wily graduate - Light wins a noble prize for physics, Wily becomes jealous and in turn becomes evil. Dr. Light builds the world's first reploid, Protoman. Wily defeats and converts Protoman using his schematics and this creates the Sniper Joes as a result. This is also the same time the first 16/24 robot masters are built, given the time frame.
Rock becomes the Blue Bomber as Doctor Light builds the "Mega" suit, in addition later builds Roll, Rush, Eddie, Tango, and Auto. Light was also responsible for the invention of sub tanks and weapon tanks, and likely "heart" tanks found in Megaman X.
Wily invents most of the series antagonists along with reploids Bass and Zero. Some time after Mega Man 9 when Wily escapes, he vows to create something that can finally kill Rock and Blues. Blues likely vanishes (and possibly dies between 20XX/21XX, but this has never been confirmed). Zero goes maverick and is the world's first maverick reploid (akin to Protoman's model, #000). He seems to kill Wily, several robots, and even Mega Man.
Light goes into hiding, developing Mega Man X until he passes away (after which diagnostics and likely the remaining "helper" bots dedicate the time to invent X)

- Megaman X1 - X8
X is discovered by Dr. Cain and was brought out of stasis, being the true successor to Rock and modeled in his image. X's schematics are used to create similar reploids of similar thought and manner. Sigma is created. Zero is one of the first reploids still maverick and the only reploid (discounting Protoman) that has gone maverick between the two games.
Zero is still maverick until Sigma reprograms Zero (and installs the Sigma Virus). It's around this time that Sigma also captured Vile, and also runs the Maverick Hunters who are in charge of finding "Irregulars." Sigma appears to be behind the maverick projects, most likely as a tool to gain control of reploids and out of exploitation of Zero's internal programming.
Sigma breaks out Vile from the Maverick Hunters HQ and turns most hunters maverick. X and Zero stop Sigma, at the expense of Zero's life. Vile appears to be destroyed.
Sigma operates a new body some time later and converts several more Maverick Hunters in the second game, Doctor Cain informs X that they are also holding Zero's parts. Zero is either reclaimed/rebuilt from the salvaged parts after the game. The "X Hunters" are destroyed and Sigma is stopped.
In the third game, Dr. Doppler appears to have resurrected Sigma (through Sigma's bidding). Dr. Doppler also had two assistants, Bit and Byte, who try to kill X/Zero. Vile was also resurrected. Vile is stopped again, and Sigma's new body is destroyed.
Anything after Megaman X3 is boring to talk about because it just becomes this relentless cycle.

- Megaman Zero
Zero is the only remaining Maverick Hunter as Bass likely died/perished/who cares but was sealed after the Maverick/Elf wars. The Mother Elf is built and analyzes Zero's data. The Mother Elf is later stolen by Dr. Weil, who uses Zero's original body to construct Omega. Zero and X stop Omega. X uses his body to seal the dark elf. Zero would also later stop Dr. Weil (who may very well be Dr. Wily, left in exile to construct Zero and was given his suit as a means to keep him alive). Weil fuses with Ragnarok, it is destroyed - the satellite plummets down to earth and is destroyed (likely along with Zero).

It should be noted however that Zero may have survived and had to create a new body, and only had fragments of memories between these games. This is the only controversial point I'd like to make, in that The Master (who is identified as a human that has lived for THOUSANDS of years) bears a very strong similarity to Zero as if The Master was Zero perfected. In addition to the Carbon Reinitialization Program, Zero may have been able to reproduce himself with the genetic code of a human and his remaining memories as a reploid. This in addition to Master's overall design and eye color has always pointed that Master is really a "human" Zero, just as Volnutt and original Rock were human.

- Megaman ZX
Centuries later, the biometals of anyone that mattered are found and used for suits. I legitimately think this is the dumbest entry in the entire series, so I'm just gonna skip the explanations.

- Megaman Legends
Thousands of years after ZX, the artifacts and ruins of the world are found by similar incantations of the original Mega Man crew - namely, Rock, Roll, and even Light (who instead seems to be more or less Roll's grandfather and is actually part cyborg, in contrast). It should be noted that Volnutt's purpose originally was that he was an Irregular Hunter which in Japan is the same title as "Maverick Hunter" in America - so basically, Volnutt is the original Mega Man wearing X's goal and mission.

Ripped from the MM Wiki: "Before dying, the Master gives his genetic code sample to protect Mega Man, and orders him to delete all data in Elysium's library."

This harks back to the original Zero who may be The Master, as the records of the Maverick Wars, Elf Wars, and likely all the project data correlating to the Sigma Virus and timeline had to be wiped to protect the "Carbons" (humans) of Calbania Island. The data and The Master's genetic code was passed down to Volnutt who stored the data on the monkey thing named "Data," and the two were sealed in ruins.

They were later found by Roll's grandfather and joined their team as "Diggers" - a group that hunted ruins for refractors. Etc, Tron Bonne, whatever - Volnutt stops them and Megaman Juno.

Afterward, Volnutt recovers his memories and gets stuck on Elysium and realizes that Sera is going to activate the C.R.P. The Elder Systems reactivate and Volnutt, Yuna, and Sera are left to their unknown fate.

Queue the biggest, most important fucking cliffhanger in video game history
