I'm planning on shooting a video then adding some animation to it afterwards. The video will be in high res / big file size

What would be the best way to go about doing this? Years ago I've tried importing a video clip into FlashMX2004 but the video lost a lot of quality after importing it to FlashMX.
Also used Adobe After Effects for this but After Effects didnt have the a lot of the tools you'd find in FlashMX...

Any solutions? Are the new versions of FlashMX handle video files better?

Also would it be possible to export a file from FlashMX in a psd format (with transparent backgrounds) so it would be possible to combine the file with the video in AE

Hi, I've created a new form in Visual C++ and dragged a button to that form called "Next".
When the Next button is pressed I want to load form2.
Can somebody please help me on how to do it?

Does anybody know the name of the song, it used to be overused in flash movies here, usually for prank flash vids, was very annoying (no lyrics) and sounded like a circus song.. (not the circus theme song though).
Trying to find it for ages but since it has no lyrics its tough to find

Hi, I wanted to try MySQLjust to have it down on my cv, I've installed MySQL 5.1 Cluster community edition, but having a hard time figuring out how to use it.

I've MS Access but the command prompt interface in sql is so much different. Can anyone give a quick summary on it? Or is there any good tutorials out there?
I've looked up the basic commands on wiki (delete, insert etc) but thats by knowledge on it so far...

Anyways... So anyone got any tips to land a kickflip. I can get them here and there, but I usually get a toe touch, or something. Same with a heel. Tips?

My kickflips roll along the ground when I flip them :P but if I could do good kickflips I'd probably recommend keeping your kick foot in the centre of the board and when you're kicking the board kick the front foot as far forward as you can, that way you can get really good pop

I've made an animation in Adobe Premiere / After Effects but it exported as a .AVI file, I used a converter to make it into a .FLV file and a copy into a .SWF file.

However I want to add a preloader to the file, and FlashMX2004 wont let me open neither the .FLV or .SWF file (guessing its because since it was an AVI file originally)
Would there be a way of adding a preloader to my file? (the standard NG preloader)

Or maybe there is some other software that could do this?

I think it could be, on firefox it opens up a new tab, on IE it opens up a new window
It almost seems like it uploads in the new window/tab but doesnt do anything on the main submit page

On the submit page when I choose to upload file under "File (.swf)::" it opens up a new tab and starts to upload file in a new tab, when it finishes uploading it just comes up with a blank screen, but on the original submit page it still says "uploading"

so when I click "submit" button an error comes up:
"Please indicate which .swf file you'd like to submit."

I've tried uploading with Firefox and IE but same problem...

How was everybody's Christmas? I managed to snap my tail Christmas eve and now cant get a new deck as all the shops are closed for holidays brr :(

On the bright side thought that meant that had nothing much else to do so made a new edit with whatever old footage I had left

lol the 360's on the scooter were so smooth, have to try that myself some time :D

Get raynox fisheye for your camera, they're dirt cheap and 0.3x will make almost the same distortion level as a professional fisheye lens and make your lines look so much better :)

Ah all you have to do is get a small crowd of skaters and go exploring :D Always works, especially when there are new parks near by. Also helps if you have a car :D

Started doing a lot of weird combo tricks yesterday (probably cause I cant do big sets/gaps now), got a nice 360 shove it to pivot to pivot :D And hippy jump airwalk :)

If its a steep bank then you usually have to try to pop on to them or even a little manual on, but then most likely you'll have very little time to place your feet into a flip position when you're on the bank. Falling on to the bank isn't really that bad to be honest, its coming down that can cause more pain ;)

First time I did a bigspin on that bank I was coming down hit a tiny stone and went sliding on my chin, the rough ground didnt help either :\

Me just made a new edit, all skating in done on a days afternoon. Kind of rushed the edit as everybody kept asking me to finish it faster but still turned out alright I think..

Got my board runed over by a car the other day, new deck snapped, and one of the bearings actually went through the wheel, and the woman just barked at me and sped off...
Rang the police anyway, they said it was my fault as I was skating on the road so no chance of me getting any money for the board, but I decided to press charges against her for for speeding in an estate and dangerous driving (nearly knocked me down as well even though speed limit in the estate is 20 km), so at least she'll get a fine or something... Usually court cases take weeks before anything is even done though :(
