My "Art" Thread Posted November 3rd, 2009 in Art

So... I've wanted to make an art topic for sometime, but I've never gotten the courage to do it. I promised myself that if there wasn't a new post in this forum when I got back, I'd finally make one. Guess what?

There were no new posts.

So, I guess I'll post my ametuer art (if that's the word) here. Let me make this clear: I know it's not very good. But we all start somewhere, and I'd like to get some feedback. And remember:

Very cool. Although the proportions of the head with the rest of the body are off. The coloring is awesome though!

My gosh that's creepy. The pokemon style works well with this peice. Can't wait to see it finished!

My dream gig would be somewhat like the Brothers Chaps do with Homestar Runner. I think they are the only/one to the only people who have actually made a living off of Flash cartoons (not doing designs or other freelance stuff).

Never going to happen, but I can dream.

WRONG *is shot*

Anyway, I have heard of cats living quite a long time (a friend of mine had a 20 year old cat that just died). I'm guess that it, even though it is wild, is very well fed, and taken care of by itself, you and your neighbors.

No, because now you know it. Your girlfriend HAS broken up with you, you are now emotionless, and insaine, but at least your brain functions properly.

mind=blown

Anyways,i practiced drawing him and I ended up with this. Again, comments, pointers and some spam are welcome.

Actually, not too bad. It's a very interesting style, almost something I could see for a Sunday comic or cartoon. I somewhat like the way the clothing was 'attached' to the character, although I feel the shirt went out too far from the neck. The eyes were very uneven too, if I were you I'd practice drawing different types of eyes and get used to it. Coloring is both messy and stylish, try making it look just stylish. Overall, pretty decent! :)

I think its very nice. The proportions are well done and the shading it great.

However, like Snowman said this style is very predictable. Maybe it's because it's an antro. Usually with those sorts of characters you have to be VERY detailed and defined to keep it from looking like someone else's.

Haha, we're so evil. It also has some old logos and wips. It's somewhat 'The crappy stuff that happened during the making of..." section. But that's not as catchy. You'll have to see what's in there when it's released.

At 11/1/09 07:56 AM, J-qb wrote: Hey guys, well done on putting this thing together... I agree with some of the points which have been mentioned. I cant see the 38th submission... it wont go to the next one from 37...

That's because the first few pictures don't label themselves apparently. It's an easy fix. There are 38 total.

Anyway, awesome job everybody! You all did great work! You too Ace and Monkey!

But I'm still sad my art wasn't added... :(
Response to: GRIM - art collab Posted October 31st, 2009 in Art

Yay! It's out! A couple things:

1. The opening transition looked a bit odd and jumpy because of the changes.
2. We need to add that back to menu button.
3. There were only 37 pictures.
4. Make sure the music repeats.
5. None of my art made it in? I didn't think they were that bad. :(

Overall, I'm pretty satisfyed. Awesome work ace and monkey! I really love the transitioning!

that is indeed creepy but i wouldnt say it was even up to standards, also why hasnt this been submitted, do deadlines mean nothing here on newgrounds

wait a minute

The art has been finished and it's coming all together. There were some minor problems earlier (my internet desided to die, there was a small code error with the pciture changes) that set us back slightly. Ace and monkey are hard at work finalizing it.

If it's not submitted tonight, you can definately expect it tomorrow morning!
