How about thinking that the universe is 90 billion lightyears in diameter? Can you imagine how far light travels in 90 billion years??

186,000 miles times 60 times 60 times 24 times 365 times 90 billion.

I agree. It was Orwell who said that a totalitarian state is in effect a theocracy.
That's why the argument that atheism is bad because of 20th century atheist dictators falls apart.

Over the summer I read The God Delusion and ever since I've been watching debates and lectures on religion and atheism. Before that I had considered myself agnostic and hadn't given it much thought. But I've come to realize that atheism makes much more sense. In fact I would say I find atheism to be more comforting than religion; at least there is some definite end. As Hitchens says, according to religious people, it is only after death "that the real fun begins." I don't find this thought very comforting at all.

The cool thing to do if you have a terminal illness or something would be to fly into a black hole, then you'll be the only person who knows if you can travel back in time...you'll know for a few seconds before you die.

Does anyone remember what movie has a scene where a guy is jacking off and a woman walks in and freaks out and he's like "I can't stop cumming!" and he cums on her? This is a serious question, I can't remember what movie this was in.

I

In a world where all was decided
By the power of speech,
One man was set apart from the rest,
To save mankind from certain doom...
A man named Morgan Freeman
Roamed the land, comforting the afflicted
With his reassuring, all-powerful Voice.
Wherever someone needed a voice
So powerful as to grant instant persuasion,
The call was made to Morgan Freeman,
And he appeared, lending his rich rhetoric
To all in need.
Never was he met with a challenge
He could not meet, nor a role he could not fill,
Until one day his kind demeanor was challenged,
And it become one of ice and steel.

II

The day arose, but in place of the Sun
Rose a light even brighter.
The light belonged to the Grendelins,
A race of creatures from the farthest reaches of the Universe.
The light temporarily blinded the people and angered them,
And although the Grendelins were unsure
Of how to handle the citizens of Earth upon arrival,
They soon decided it was best to clear the Earth
Of inhabitants before they were attacked.
The humans were terrified by such a threat,
So they called upon the most powerful weapon
Known to man: the Voice of Morgan Freeman.
And he said, "I will go, for wherever there is a conflict,
I will be there to resolve it."
The Grendelins agreed to see Morgan Freeman
Before the killing process began. He calmly walked in,
And launched his attack:
"From the dawn of time, humans and aliens
Have coexisted peacefully. And now, simply because
We humans feel threatened by your presence, you have
Decided to annihilate us. Well, I'm getting too old...
If you want to extinguish our existence, then go on
And press your detonator. Stop wasting my time."
The aliens, of course, did not press the button,
As they were so taken with the heartbreaking
Sadness of Morgan Freeman's Voice.
And so we see the power of speech,
Always to outdo the threat of pain,
When put against Morgan Freeman's words,
Violence in the end will yield no gain.

I didn't like the campaign that much, but this is the first Halo I've played so I haven't been following the story for years. As for multiplayer, it can be very frustrating. And there are a lot of jerks online. Still, it looks incredible in HD so I play it anyway.

Overall the game is easier. Although hammerons are harder because you have to hit them more precisely, the charts I think are easier. I 5 starred everything on expert, which I have not managed to do in GH3. And I got 45/49 achievements within 48 hours. Despite the easiness, I still like the music. It might have been worth buying.

never have I seen an example of someone so detached from reality.

Exactly what part is detached from reality? The fact that all modern music descends from Bach, or the fact that Muse is a great group?

Muse is obviously the superior group. Not only do they have awesome guitar riffs and deep lyrics, their piano music is unmatched by any contemporary group. I guide you to "Butterflies and Hurricanes", in which there is actually a piano solo, which pays tribute to Rachmaninoff's prelude in g minor. There are countless other classical references in Muse songs, and everyone knows that in order to be a great musician, one must accept the great composers as the peak in musical achievement. In conclusion, Muse is one of the best groups today.
