Which is Creationism, isn't it?

I think you are quoting me out of context. my point was simply that believing in God does not make you a creationist. also to clarify in the United States a creationist is someone who believes the biblical book of Genesis to a literal truth. since not all those who do believe in a God do not nessecarily believe in the biblical God they cannot be creationists by the definition I provided. even those who do follow the biblical God cannot all be called creationists because not all of them take the book of Genesis to be a literal truth.

actually you got it backwards man. believing that there is a God does not make you a creationist, there are plenty of folks out there that do believe in God but do not support creationism. however being a creationist does make you a believer in God, in this case "God" being the supernatural being that did the creating.

Has any one here read Jesus Interrupted by Bart Ehrman? I'm half way through it and its a fascinating read so far. He does a great job of going there a few of the inaccuracies in the New Testament and explaining there significance in good detail.

on a serious note ph0ne Evolution is the genetic frequency in a population over successive generations. it has nothing to do with the origin of life that my ignorant friend is abiogenesis. you keep saying that evolution goes against the fact that living things cannot come from non living things and yet you post creationist videos, creationists who believe that God created Adam form dirt.

This has fuck all to do with evolution, which can be defined as the change in the allele frequency in a population over successive generations, but I will say a few things.

In order for something to go past being a thesis it must first disprove, through experimentation, the laws already in place. That is the scientific process. So far, the "theory of evolution" conflicts with newton's law which states that "living matter cannot come from nonliving matter," and so far that law has not been disproven, so Evolution should have never progressed past a thesis.

Issac Newton studied physics not biology in fact he died before Charles Darwin published his "On the Origin of Spices" .

The fact that the whole scientific process has been thrown out when it comes to Evolution is completely bizzare to me, since most people I talk to, who believe in Evolution, claim to be "super atheist scientific rebel intellectual."

It has? can you show evidence to support this statement, you do know that you don't have to be an atheist to support the theory of evolution right?

"So, I woke up the other morning with the thought that living things don't come from non-living things. This has been standard science since Louis Pasteur convinced us back in the 19th century. I believe this. Spontaneous generation is not science. Living things coming from non-living things has never been observed and has never been reproduced in any of the great laboratories of the world. And believe me there are plenty of scientists working on it. However, the atheist and the evolutionist want me to believe that the source of life is non-living matter. But I say again, that belief is not scientific. Science is observable. Science is reproducible. A living thing coming forth from non-living matter has never been observed nor reproduced. And somehow some of the same people who believe that living things came from non-living matter think I am delusional for believing in God. The thing about blind spots is that you don't see 'em."

did you even bother reading the comments posted on the website you got the above paragraph from?

I personally like Monster but I know what you're saying, it is a bit bleh in the beginning. I've started watching Gantz online and so far it seems entertaining. I read the manga some time back but left it hanging, not because I didn't like it or anything, and I can't remember where.

"Good lets keep it that way for a while, for all we know this could just be some sick joke and I'm not willing to waste the department's resources on a wild goose chase. Look in to it but don't let anyone know what your doing."
"Now if you'll see your self out I've got a lot of work to finish up"
Her head was already buried in her paper work and Detective Sullivan was already out the door as she said those words.
Detective Sullivan walked back to his desk envelope in hand. He carelessly threw the item in hand on the desk and plopped down on his chair. It was then he noticed his partner's jacket on the chair on the other side of their desk.
"Probably out for some coffee" he thought to himself
Looking at his watch he decides to make a phone call.
"Hey" greeted Detective Santos as he finished is conversation on the phone.
Detective Sullivan looked at his partner in amazement, he was watching her strut from the door to their desk out of the corner of his eye. She was built like a supermodel, well except perhaps the height not to say that she was short or anything but not tall either. She had liquid blue eyes, the kind that made guys putty in her hands. Her hair was long and black cascading down her back sending ripples through it as she moved.
"Hey, I think we have a case," said Detective Sullivan tossing the envelope to his partner as she was sitting down.
"So, what do we do?" asked Detective Santos after she finished skimming through the papers.
"Come on, I know just the person that can help us out."
Before Detective Santos could inquire as to whom that person was her partner was already on his way out the door.
"Your friend lives here?" exclaimed Detective Santos as they pulled up to an ancient looking building.
They both walked in to the building and stood in that little place between the door to the outside and the door to the rest of the building. Her partner went to go ring the buzzer as Detective Santos peered in thorough the glass door. She noticed a man walking towards them but when he realized who they were, he decided to use the side entrance to get out. She figured that he had done nothing wrong but he simply didn't want to be the one that let t he cops in the building.
As they took the dated elevator up to the seventh floor, Detective Santos began to wonder who exactly this friend was. She could get nothing out her partner in the car, he insisted on talking about trivial matters such as what movies she liked and other nonsense. They both stood in silence as she rang the doorbell to the apartment. Whatever Detective Santos's preconceived notions were about the friend none of them matched what she saw in front of her.
A young man opened the door, if he can be called a man; he was about twenty years old but his slightly effeminate face made him look even younger. He was tall towering over both the detectives, with a slim build, which exacerbated his lofty height even more. His hair was fiery red and its shape made it look as if tongues of flame were leaping out form his head.
"Ah greetings Detective Sullivan I see you have brought your partner with you," remarked the young man gesturing towards Detective Santos.
"Well come in, come in before my neighbors start asking me questions as to why there are cops at my door"
Detective Santos looked around the apartment whose prevailing theme was chaos. The only thing that was common through out the place was darkness. The lights were dimmed to the point that they may as well be turned off. Almost all of the furniture was black or grey; the green plants on the windowsill opposite the main door were one of the few things in the room that had any color. To the left a long hall way stretched out like an arm leading to the rest of the apartment. All the doors to the other rooms were either left wide open or left a jar. The only one that was locked was what Detective Santos figured to be the bedroom.
"My name is Alexander Hauteville" his hand was out to shake her hand as she finished scanning everything around her.
"But you can call me Alex"

thanks to TheThing for his review of the earlier section of the story and don't worry man I need all the criticism I can get, its the only way I can get better. All the changes you suggested are being put in place and I'll have a revised version up soon.

Bloodhound
It was a frosty winter morning. A lonely street was beginning to fill with its load of pedestrians. A few stores are opening their doors, the coffee shop at the corner was already getting quite a line. The line was filled with middle-aged men in suits carrying briefcases. One of them looked at his watch and leaned out to see what was taking so long. He moved back just in time to avoid being run over by a well built man in a leather jacket. Normally Detective Sullivan would have stopped to apologize for almost causing an accident, but not now; he just didn't have the time. Bolting past the rest of the line and turning the corner at break neck speed, he raced up the short steps of the police station and burst through its big red doors. Stopping, more to collect his thoughts then to catch his breath, he walked briskly towards an office. Without even bothering to knock, Detective Sullivan opened the door.
Detective Sullivan looked on to a small barren office with Grey unassuming carpeting. The large and obviously expensive desk facing the door looked out of place, especially with the cheap brown folding chair that went with it. A filing cabinet filled up the wall to the right. On the desk, papers were organized in to stacks that looked as if they could fall at any minute and spill all over the floor.
"Chief you got a minute?" said Detective Sullivan in a voice louder then he intended.
Rolling her eyes up at the intruder standing at her door Michelle Jones let out a long sigh. "What is it detective?"
"Read it," said Detective Sullivan throwing a large manila envelope on the desk.
"Look why don't you just save us sometime and just tell me what it is"
"I got that in the mail yesterday"
"It's a letter, a letter from a person claiming to be a serial killer"
"Does this killer have a name?" asked the chief.
"He calls himself 'The Mauler'."
"The what?" said the chief, the name bringing a sudden burst of emotion to her face that the detective couldn't quit place
Taking the letter out of the envelope, she looked at it but once.
"This letter is ten pages long and so unlike him," commented The Chief
"I'm sorry ma'am I don't understand what you're saying"
"About five years ago there were a string of horrific murders that took place through out the city. The happened a little before you were transferred here so it's understandable that you don't know what I'm talking about. Anyway, what I was getting at was that these murders were all that people talked about for weeks. It's a morbid curiosity that people have, to want to see bad stuff happen kind of like a crowd gathered around a burning building"
"Who were his victims?" asked Detective Sullivan ignoring the last bit
"He had no preferences as far as we know, his last victim was a five year old girl and the one before that was on old man about sixty years of age."
There was another flash of the unknown emotion on The Chief's face but it was gone just as fast.
"Have you told anyone about this?" Asked The Chief
"No"

ok I know the description is a bit flat (read: it sucks), so tips on improvement?
also its not done yet obviously but I don't want to have a long post so I'll post some later with out the "author's cometary" to go with it.

I was asked to write a detective story for my college level English class. my professor thought it would be a good idea to see what we could come up with so he told us that we could either write a formal essay or write our own story. I chose the latter because I always have to write formal essays and this might be a good change of pace. any way I was wondering if I can show some of my work to you guys ? see what you think.
