I am 45 and have always been aware thatsome Newgrounds people might hold it against me to be older than their Fathers, so have witheld my age in case of prejudice. I like Artwork and studied for my Fine Arts Degree some time ago. Its just that still images do my head in so I like flash.
Am I welcome here? Or should I go to an old peoples home?

Yeah I have two. A six year old Daughter Martha and a one year old son Rory. They are better than Newgrounds But I still have time to come on here and enjoy things too. In fact Martha is very interested in Flash!!

I dont know if its on the news in US but here in Europe theyre going on about a big experiment that will take place over a few months, Im not a scientist but from what I can tell (on Spanish Tv) is that a big tube 27km or 14 miles has been made between France and Switzerland and theyre going to fire particles around it at about the speed of light in opposite directions so they collide. This will possibly show us the origins of the Universe. But there is a team against the experiments saying that black holes might be formed. Well ill be one of the first down it if that happens. So what does everyone think of the Earth disappearing up its own arse in a split second?

How would you control it? How could you verify people have watched the whole flash before voting? Not much can be done about that. I was thinking that the clever people who make this site could easily at least not make voting available until after the flash had finished.

The thought being is that people who are here to just earn blam or save points and not watch flashes will have to at least waist more time in doing so even if they dont watch or play anything.

I dont understand the Ng system of allowing people to vote without actually watching the flash or game first. This allows a couple of things to happen.
1. people blamming flashes because they are too short.(although I dont agree that flashes should be judged on their size).
2. Blamming after reading comments.

If someone doesnt want to watch a short flash or they dont like a comment, maybe they shouldnt be allowed to vote. Whilst I dont know whether these things are true or not, this is the feeling I get after
reading other users comments. Please let me know if this is an old thread, and if so where is it, I dont know how to search easily. If it is I apologise.

If that works for you then its good. Everyone works differently I think. Rules are not necessarily a good thing in artwork.

thats kind of the wrong order, but everything seems to be there, a storyboard should be after the

storyline Yeah I did say it wasnt in order. Sometimes I work in different orders depending on what inspires me to start drawing. Sometimes ideas creep in or change after drawing etc etc.

I learnt how to make flashes through help F1 and also through a book called the Flash Bible. However that covers most things including games but if you want to concentrate on games I believe there is another Bible just on actionscript.

1 think of a storyline.
2 Draw the charactors in flash on seperate layers.
3 Draw backgrounds etc.
4 Do a storyboard.
5 Convert the storyboard into scenes.
6 Animate
This is not necessarily the order I do things but ideas help.

Yeah, Im British and I got away with american accents in my flash " Franky Fast Fingers" and noone spotted it. So its true you can get away without an american voice actor. Its not a plug for my flash by the way, just the truth...
