Stop whining and maybe people will care.

My favorite are the people who come in and repost pickup lines that other people already said.

Do a game where you're in a jungle and there are numbers at the top of vines and there's a monkey throwing coconuts at you and you have to get the number that's the right answer to a Math question at the top of the screen.

Response to: whats wrong with this script!? Posted June 19th, 2007 in Game Development

Why do you have the code commented?

Response to: Spriters needed Posted June 18th, 2007 in Game Development

Alright, look dudes, this kid's just starting out. He has no idea what he's doing and I've offered to help him out with the game. He needs somebody to do original sprites based on the anime Bleach. Below are some samples of my actionscripting.

I play the real game, I'm interested in helping.

I like the art style. It has potential, but the collision detection is complete shit.

What's up with Wii games? Posted March 9th, 2007 in Game Development

I don't really understand how Wii-compatible Flash games work. Anyone care to explain?

Response to: Sonic Flash Project w/ Demo Posted March 1st, 2007 in Game Development

The game looks pretty solid, but I think it would really benefit from being zoomed in closer and not being able to move while jumping really detracts from the feeling of speed.

A very simple game idea. Posted March 1st, 2007 in Game Development

http://denvish.net/ulf/010307/73041_avoidtest .php

I'm thinking about turning that into a game where the concept is you have to avoid something that's trying to get at you and as the level increases the game gets harder by making the enemies more numerous and faster. You'd have to survive for a certain time limit.

I want to know if there's any interest before I contine with it.

Response to: Looking For Collab Team (rpg) Posted February 27th, 2007 in Game Development

I'd like to do some actionscripting, but I want some reassurance this isn't some lousy project that won't die in two days.

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this.hitTest(_root.ball)) {
_root.ball.gotoAndPlay ("crash");
}
}

Just make a frame inside the ball movieclip and name it crash. Put the animation for when it crashes in there. At the end of the crash animation, put the coordinates for where the car will go so it doesn't go to the beginning of the crash as it's playing the crash animation.

Fixed.

Why not try, you know, writing it yourself instead of copying someone elses hard work?

Response to: Tell me if you guys like it. Posted February 12th, 2007 in Game Development

I draw black people more because the skin tone is easier for me. I don't understand how to shade white people properly, as you may have noticed on the last picture.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try keeping the dimensions on the V-Cam better.

Response to: Artwork Critic Posted February 11th, 2007 in Game Development

I like the 2004 versions more. They have more style to them.

Tell me if you guys like it. Posted February 11th, 2007 in Game Development

I was testing out using a V-Cam for the first time and I decided to make it go through my .fla file with all the pictures I draw. I added some music and voila, a movie. What do you guys think?

Try making the red dots follow the player instead of just going in tweened motions.

Response to: Preview of new game. Posted February 11th, 2007 in Game Development

The punch is a little lame and a jumping animation would be nice.

Response to: AS3: Intro to Actionscript 3 Posted February 10th, 2007 in Game Development

I'm really reluctant to switch to AS3 when it comes out. I have absolutely no experience with OOP and classes and whatever the hell you people are talking about and I don't want to switch to an interface that's going to leave me confused after I took all the effort to learn how to do stuff without it.

Response to: Should I continue this game? Posted February 9th, 2007 in Game Development

I liked it for what it was. I'd love to see you improve upon it.
