It depends what job you go into. I'm going to be a history teacher when I grow up so I definatly need to know that.

If you can't even spell the world "definitely," then you're most likely not going to be a teacher, first of all. Second, you'll probably end up learning about it again once you're in college, because you'll have to take a bunch of different history courses. So if you're going to learn it again, what reason is there for learning it in the first place?

Sorry to have to educate you asshats, but school isn't to educate people, contrary to popular belief. Getting through high school is just to get that shiny little diploma showing that you did. Nothing more, nothing less. It shows potential employers that you have follow-through and you won't drop out of their employment and it shows colleges that you're not a complete fuckup. They could honestly care less what you know about "woodshop" and "world history," all they want to know is that you can handle what they want you to do without bitching out.

I don't care if people smoke. If they slowly want to rot themselves out from the inside, that's fine with me. In fact, I approve of it. If you're fucking stupid enough to smoke despite how many people are telling you it's horrible for you, how much proof there is that it'll kill you, then it's just natural selection.

Now, when you start smoking and doing that shit out in public where that can get to me, then it's a problem. If you're smoking in the car with the windows closed and your kid in the back seat, that's his problem. Second-hand smoke is harmful to the people around you. If you're going to make your kids suffer a car ride with you smoking, you might as well just start putting cigarettes in their mouths.
