Did... Did we just loose some pages?

Scratch that last part. Youtube doesn't operate on solely CC, the separate Youtube license clearly states that content that is copyright by third party cannot be submitted without consent. Since Hasbro or Youtube haven't taken down any of the copyrighted stuff, I assume they have consent to use it non-commercially.
Copyrighted stuff gets uploaded to youtube all the time, and considering your talking about Hasbro, im guessing this has to do with MLP?
Those vids are insanely popular on youtube, starting a fight with that demographic would just be shitty marketing, so Hasbro must be aware of it, while they might have given consent to it, it still does not make it legal to copy and re-use.

Antique Hohner accordion, a bit beat up of course, but it's only fifty dollars and sounds fine. It's missing a stop, but it can be easily replaced.
I should've bought it shouldn't I've? :'[
Yes.
Yes you should.
And you should hate yourself for not buying it.

Sorry, disregard the stuff i said earlier, i skimmed your post and missed this part.
If this is the case, then no.
From the CC disclaimer on the newgrounds songpages.
Attribution: You must give credit to the artist.
Noncommercial: You may not use this work for commercial purposes unless you make specific arrangements with the artist under another license.
Share Alike: If you alter, transform, or build upon this music, you may distribute the resulting creation only under a license identical to this one.
Pay great attention to the "Share alike" portion, if people that use the songs posted have to distribute the product in a simillar license, then I assume the same thing goes the other way.
Any links to the samples you used? just to do some research.
At 10/1/11 06:03 PM, TheBellmaker wrote: 1. the use is non-commerical
Usually, no.
2. the corporation allows for use of content non-commerically
Depends, considering Newgrounds uses Creative Commons, the general rule of thumb is that samples under CC is a-OK, however, im not sure how this works with anything non-cc
3. I mention that such content is in no way mine and is copyright the original corporation? If I create all the melodies and beats, can I use Hasbro's vocals
Again, if its under CC then yes, you can.
Though i think its worth mentioning that I have no idea how this concept works outside CC.
About Album Adverts
Can you create album advert threads for albums done by close friends? A good friend of mine is releasing an EP (containing a remix done by me) and I figured id help out (to some degree).
1. Use the "Analog Mono" AU thats standard, just play around whit the sound until you get the sound you want.
2. There should be something called "Glide" or something, set it to long.
3. Play the note you want it to bend from, then play the not you want it to bend to.
You should get a decent drop by doing this, if you are using Massive, then there should be an option to set how much it will react to your pitch bend under "Voicing" and "Pitch Bend"

Homework is optional. lol.
Its even better if you study Media.
NO. WORK. EVER.
Just manually use the pitch bend until it sounds about right, im not sure what else you can do.
What plug-ins do you use? certain instruments drops an entire octave while some only drop a note.

No, a product (The song) is still legally a product no matter how it was meant to be enjoyed
At 9/24/11 08:35 PM, Back-From-Purgatory wrote: You are however allowed to recreate it with your own means.
Well, as long as it does not border to "Stealing of intellectual property" I.E. Telling a story and passing it off as you own, though you would have to copy-paste an entire script for that to matter.
I guess im just rambling in half-sleep ATM so no worries :)
At 9/24/11 07:03 PM, Space-Whale wrote: Sorry, that's what I meant.
Also, one more question: what if I take copyrighted vocals, and basically throw them into a blender so they're completely unrecognizable. Is that still not allowed?
No, the source material is still copyrighted, no matter how many bitcrushers you use wont change that.
I havent listened to you stuff (out of prinicple, i never listen to stuff posted in the forums) but you stuff sucks because you think it is.
No, seriously, your music sounds bad to you because you THINK it sucks, its one of those bad "Your mind tricks your body thingys", you focus on the bad aspects of your stuff because of you own insecurities and the belief that your abilities aren't up to the standard they should be.
Your like a girl getting ready for prom, knocking yourself down because you feel you should be better, but no worries, were all like that.
Take some time to relax, try to not beat yourself down so much and relax, music is for enjoyi'n not hati'n.
At 9/24/11 06:53 PM, Space-Whale wrote: So, are song vocals not allowed? Because I've been told that they are.
"Vocals" is a broad term, its like saying "Are Guitars allowed?".
Copyrighted vocal samples like the one you linked to? Abso-fucking-lutly not, unless you are given permission by the guy the sample originates from (though there are deviations from this rule, i wont talk about it since there are written entire essays on the subject).
In short: Not sampled ones.

I only have this...
My version is in the mail, so id say go for it? I know people like UNKLE and Dangermouse use some of the stuff, but if your only going to use it for rap and/or rock then I suggest you just buy the instruments you need.
Komplete 8 is fucking huge and expensive, so it would be a waste of computer space and money if your only going to use it every now and then...
I dont have anything better to do so here:

Nope, I upgraded my version from the 08 version to the recent one for 6$.
As a guy that uses a mac semi-professionally (student) I thought i should address some of these points.
At 9/15/11 04:15 PM, lantaren wrote: 1) with the money left over from a PC, I can get fl studio and have a much stronger DAW then mac has for free.
This should be self-explanatory: "If i spend some money on a DAW, then I would have a stronger DAW then a free one!"
2) flash uses up a lot of CPU compared to other applications.
What? Are you talking about the software or the web application?
3) While it may be slightly more user friendly and geared towards multimedia, there aren't as many programs and customizations available for it.
False, with the release of the App store you now have pretty much anything in the click of a button, and even before that, most services did give out an Apple-aviable alternative.
If your talking about games then yes, Macs have suffered, but whit the release of Steam for mac, this is starting to change... drastically.
4) non-apple products run slowly(er?) on it.
I run the entire Adobe package (Flash, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere ETC), Pro-tools LE, Live 8 Lite, TF2 AND Ill have Komplete 8 safely on my hard-drive soon.
All without any major problems (on a laptop).
As a hobbyist, i love the thing.
I guess the only reason im sticking whit it is because its the only program i actually sat down and learned evry nook and cranny of it, im no audio-engineer, so starting up a new software would only serve to confuse the hell out of me until i shut it down and go back to garageband.
Thogh i might upgrade to logic in the near future.
I could do backing vocals, i havent been singing the last year and i just picked up a bad smoking habit.

However, you've been here long enough (since 2004) to know that this belongs in the Audio Advertisements Thread.
Good luck!
I thought album adverts was allowed? did the rules change again?
Shit, this sounds like a pretty good deal, might be starting up my dubstep-skills soon :)

Cracked
So cracked released an article today called "5 Bizarre dark sides to modern orchestras" and it honestly made me slightly happy I picked up the guitar and not the Violin in my teens :D
