Yes. I got it for my birthday recently to work on animating more hands on and to see how it compares to my intuos (which is sometimes buggy). I know of plenty of amazing animators who can create great work with the intuos, but I decided to get the cintiq for the hands on efficiency. I know it wont improve my drawing quality, but I'm hoping it's less tedious than looking up at the screen when I draw. The hands on efficiency, I'm hoping will allow me to move tools and images around the screen quicker, to help add in more frames and so on.

Many animators and artists have moved on from intuos to cintiq and some just start of with the cintiq so ya, why not?

Speaking of looking up, practice drawing on paper every day for about four months, it can be anything you see. After some time you will be able to draw without even looking at your paper/ tablet :)

The drawing isn't much, it's boring, simple and without a concept. I can't really critique you skills here since this looks like a few min doodle. If you want to get scouted you need to impress. Try working on your composition and practice drawing. Maybe still life?

Anyways asking to be scouted is against NG rules.

She looks so natural in that photo though, compared to how she looks in GoT

They are "Beyerdynamic DT 100 Grey" and were announced one of the 5 best headphones of 2012 by Music Matter (Click for article).

Turn the drawing upside down, it will always help!
You get used to proportion mistakes when working on something for a few hours so this gives you a different view.

With practice proportions won't be a problem. Do quick 2 min sketches of who body pose photographs. If you really want to
be an artist it's good to make about 40 of them a day. There are sites that will change random pictures in the time interval you set. The point is to finish before the time runs out and to have all the proportions nailed down correctly.

The website is http://www.quickposes.com/pages/timed (WARNING, NSFW) and it alows you to choose what you would like to draw (nude/ dressed, male/female) and to setup drawing time.

TBH I didn't read all what you wrote because I wanted to say this. I think you should stop caring about GO Animate and either do animation the proper way or not do it. GOA is for people that see something cool and want to make their own animation but are too lazy to actually sit down and learn how to make a proper animation. I understand that it can be hard, many people have that approach. No real animator will ever use GOA so a discussion on it in the animation forum isn't really useful.

Now to discuss the actual quality of GOA. As far as I know one is able to only pick an animation from a set of premade animations. This kinda makes the quality of your animation drop - a lot! These animations seem to be animated using tweens which are not all that hard to use in Flash so doing your own is more creative and you might be able to do better than them (GOA) :)

However if you want tips on getting started I'm gladly gonna give you some :)

I had a Bamboo one a wile ago, a small one. It wasn't accurate and it broke pretty quickly.
I now own a medium Intuos 4 tablet and it's great. There are 8 different pen tips that come with it (they simulate different drawing mediums like pens, markers, ...)
My advice is that you get a medium one (it's about as wide as a keyboard (with num keys) because you can add more detail with ease, it won't move when you draw because of it's weight and it's about as big as a screen. Some people find this useful, some not. I guess it's personal but I like being able to rest my hand on a bigger surface. The tablet is only pen sensitive.
It's expensive but if animation/drawing is what interests you, go for it. I know you can't buy Intuos 4 anymore but I guess 5 isn't so much different.

I think he means the video player. Basically you don't have to do anything for it. The video player is a NG feature for movies that
aren't swf but any other vido format (avi, mov, wmv, ...) The movie links at the end are also part of the player.
To sum up - upload a movie file and you get scrubber and video links at the end. Upload swf file and you don't.
I suppose one would be able to write a simple scrubber in AS3.
