ummm, i think its the outline, i think you should make it dark red to match the heart, it would give it a more of a "the eye is attached to the heart" rather than "the eye is in front of the heart"

maybe add some light and shadow around it too?

also if you really want to be a good artist you should practice realism and not worry about abstract things. this kind of stuff is fun to do and i draw abstract things too but studying is more important and will get you far.

well... think about what type of stone this is. all stones have different characteristics, what you should do is pinpoint the type of stone you are drawing and add details based on what that said stone looks like.

also think about the environment, that too can effect the details.
