Last one's just amazing! Love the coloring, proportions, shading, etc. etc. Great job!

Combination, even though I haven't animated that much. I like to have a basic idea of what I'm animating, so the poses really help, then I animate on the go the rest to make it smoother and better looking.

If done properly gradients can be awesome, but if you overuse them or something like that, it'll look horrible. In a bunch of the newgrounds lvl icons there are gradients, which proves that gradients ccan be good.

I'd definately recommend looking at Ebay for some good deals, I got my graphire4 4*5 tablet there for only $67, new and packaged =)

If you don't find anything on Ebay I did see an add at Best Buy where they were selling a graphire4 4*5 for $74.

A while since I've updated, so for you fans out there (if any) have a look at this sheet stuffed with enemies, weapons, and other things (like hp bars). We haven't gotten as much work done as we had planned, especially since I can't get in contact with Bird-Man, but hopefully we'll shape up and finish ALL the bosses before halloween.

I had that same problem, but now I know what it is. Basicly, when you've made you're gradient press f, then press the gradient. Then make the square or circle that appears smaller.

Yeah, the fingers and the helmet are messed up, but if you look at the date it's a long time ago (well, not THAT long). Now I mostly use flash and a more cartoony style, and barely ps.

And to rockybolan, are you accusing me of not making art? Are you saying that just because I didn't use pen/pencil and paper to draw the basic outlines of my landscapes it's not real art?
If you are then you're wrong, it's not about how you make art, but if it took effort to make it and if the finished project looks good/decent. And now you're saying that my way of making "art" (as you call it) is wrong, then you should seriously consider changing your opinion. I hate arogant people like you, who think that there way of doing things is the only right way, so either explain yourself or leave this thread.

That's a great idea, you should catogorize the table into "good" "best" "worst" etc. sponsors, so that people will quickly identify good sponsors.

Graphics - _4___ out of 5.
Gameplay - _3___ out of 5.
Concept - _4___ out of 5.
Controls - __4__ out of 5.

Overall: Fairly good game with cool graphics, and decent game-play. The people shot too much though, so it would have been impossible to beat them if I could die. The controls were good, but sprint should be shift or control (something easily accesible). Personally i would reccomend asd and shift for actions and stuff like that, and the arrows for movement.

Good luck finishing the game, It'll probably be pretty sweet when it's finised :p

me neither, but just do it, there isn't really anything I (or anything can do). But I won't post anymore now because it'll seem we're just trying to get a higher post count. But in the sponsor review thread they've got a little section that says some of the things you should do when applying for sponsorship.

flash only takes mp3 and wav, so make sure it's either, but mp3 doesn't always work, so you'll be best of with wav.

if you don't dare you'll never get sponsored....just write a formal e-mail with the game and send i to ag, cmg, and other game sites and hope for the best (I've never been sponsored (never finished a game), so I'm just saying what I've heard).

well..you just go to the sponsors wesite and search for a "contact" or "sponsor" link.
