Death Note, we all love it for its originality[me included]. But, some can say that Death Note's plot is almost identical to Magic Kaito[A short series by the creator of Detective Conan].

You will find striking similarities.

Here's 3 of the many:

1. Kid's rival is an ace detective who tranfers to his class to pin point. [The detective is from the UK.]

2. Kid lives a double live.

3. Kid's girlfriends father is an dedicated police man who likes Kid as his alter ego, but whats to capture Kaito Kid.

Look it up on google, you will find it is shocking almost the same in terms of personas.
