Well, religion is all a matter of what you believe in. For example, I believe that Akane Tendo created the universe with her lovely singing voice. That's why freedom of religion is great.

Which is not to say that I believe it is anything like NGE, but merely that the only ending the writers are skilled enough to do is an oh fuck the world ending.

Attention: I'd like to ask anyone outwith America to withhold from posting. Feel free to read the thread, but please don't post. This is to prevent any antagonisation between users which may result in a flame war. Thank you.
Me and my family were talking a lot about America over dinner tonight, about it's significant presence in the world and how it affects other countries' economies.
America is enormous, and is home to many of the world's top business chains and corporations. Surely without America's presence, the rest of the world would suffer greatly.
If America was shut off completely from the rest of the world; no exports/imports, no tourism, no one leaving, no one coming, would it still be able to thrive? Do you think it could become even more profitable?
.
I would also urge people replying to give a valid reason for their choice. i.e. Not just a "Yes" or "No" kind of post.
It would hurt us, but we'd survive.
We would still have plenty of places to get food, coastal areas, rich farmland.
But it would cause an economic crisis, thats for sure. But that applies to any nation on earth.

Yeah, I know this is video related, but noone will come in time if I post it in the video game forum.
I am a level 22 blue knight, and I want to do castle crashers with 3 other people. You can be anything but the blue knight(duh). Oh, and try to stay near the 20ish level, I mean its fine if you can't but it would be cool if 3 other level 20ish knights came due to not being too overpowered.
Mah gamertag is texicomexico, in case you wanna come.
So if you live in a city and want something like food you barely need to walk anywhere and don't need to waste gas.
Well, in the states we have the same thing, but you know instead of fast food we have actual places to eat close by.
Also it is sort of cool that their is one vending machine for every 26 people in Tokyo.
Or, horrifying amount of people in one area.
I like Japan's anime, but that is where the buck stops. Thry are xenophobic bastards(I know, I went there once when I was 10), and everything is just too damn tight. The education system is 6 days a week, thus killing any chance for a social life, and getting into a good college there is even harder than the US of A. Don't be naive about a country, what may be a decent place to visit can be a terrible place to live.
And now, patriotic image to encourage the OP to come back to the land of the free as soon as he can.
Ok, this has gone on long enough. You can't make a topic like this without you know, proof. Just because it would make "sense" does not mean it is true. So if you have any evidence that Ahmadinejad is a mossad agent, go right ahead and show it to us. If you have nothing, then this is really silly and a waste of time.
Also, hi Jade, glad you left the shithole known as General FOR FUCKING ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!
<3
I LEAVE GENERAL.
I just go to Art on the occasion. :P
And <3.
AND ALSO.
I need moar Golgo 13 manga. Like, I'm on 6, and I want to get them all.
And I also found some Urusei Yatsura manga for $1 each at this used bookstore. I nearly creamed my panties because I almost walked out of there without looking in the boxes where manga was stored.
WAHAHAHAAHAHA.
Yeah, Urusei Yatsura is tough as shit to find. I lucked out this summer, in Minnesota they had a small book shop, but the owner turned out to be a Takahashi fanatic(pre inu-yasha of course) and he had UY mangas for sale. I gladly bought all that I could.

But Ranma is hardly any better, the kids got an ego the size of mars, he's ignorant, stupid and a sore loser when he actually does get beat in something. Saotome is a godawful protagonist, I like the series but I dislike his attitude greatly.
Oh hello, mind reader, thank you for saving me the effort of reminding people of this.
Fuck.
Can't stand Ranma, obnoxious cunt.
Other the other hand, if I was asked to name my favourite character, aside from my usual choice (because I'm sure everyone is sick of seeing that), I'd say Itou Kaiji.
Gotta love poor convenience store clerk with a mullet who happens to be the balliest sonofabitch ever.
Oh, stop the hate on Ranma. His ego is played for laughs, and he is very forgiving towards those who try to kill him on a daily basis. Just because he doesn't feel comfortable in a marriage forced upon him does not make him a cunt. Also, it makes his curse VERY ironic and funny. Honestly, if you had a person without Ranma's huge ego, the series would be over by the 4th episode.
That being said, he really SHOULD admit that he likes that lovely tendo girl.
Hey guys, back. I know this is the anime club, but I just read the watchmen, which I've always wanted to do, and I fucking loved it. Rorschach was an amazing character. So, anyone think the movie will be any good?
Ranma has died... Ranma has risen... Ranma will come again...
But yeah, besides Gendo, anyone of you guys think the new Ranma OAV has other implications?(Like more Ranma oavs?)
Because they picked quite an uneventful story to have an OAV about, so I think it may be signs of a revival of a dead show... this time with none of the filler crap.
Pic related, in Symbolism, context, and awesomeness.

Welcome to the plot of 99.9% of samurai flicks. Not to mention "less than admirable" is a poor choice of words since the poor bastard saw his father get fucking decapitated as a child, I think that's decent motive for revenge.
Plus, expecting a well-written plot from something called "Afro Samurai" is sort of beyond foolish.
Well, I would agree and say that Afro Samurai was decent at best, but the fact that it has Samuel L. Jackson as the two main characters made it awesome. Actually, the whole ninja-ninja bit was cool, cause he was like an opposite or something.

It's not anime if wasn't made by the japanese. I don't know why people constantly think the boondocks is a japanese animation series.
It's done by MadHouse. That's why. It's not Japanese anime.
Yup, one could say the art is INSPIRED by anime, or it's art is anime-style, but if it ain't made in Japan, it ain't anime.
Lesson 16: You're a faggot. Seriously, dubs can be good sometimes, like in Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon. Also, don't judge a country by its animation. I watch Ranma 1/2, but I don't think everyone in Japan is batshit insane, so neither should you think Japan is mature because of an anime.
