Hey it looks like Iv been missing the forums of NG and found my self looking at all the awesome art people have to show here, so maybe I can sink my feet in part of the action?

Lets get to the point, I draw cartoons for a wide range of mediums such as games or comics and maybe a few animations.
I want to tell you guys Im very "OLD SCHOOL" when it comes to production of my work, I like to keep all development a secret unless im pitching it to sombody to collaberate with. that being said all pictures you see are infact IN DEV games comics or movies Im bouncing around with (some being more important than others). I always love making art to show you guys whats going on and a taste of more to come.

You can find all the pictures in my art gallery on my page.

so here it goes.

Looking For As3 Programmer $$$ Posted January 13th, 2013 in Collaboration

Hey everybody Joe here! and I have been throwing around this game concept and have done all the artwork for more than a month now and every programmer Iv hired has bailed so I need a good programmer for this project!

its Called "Grace"

Grace is an art platformer game.
Grace is designed to challenge the players problem solving skills in all categories. But, it is designed to challenge the players emotions as well. To make them think or decide within the game based on the players own emotional efforts to find âEUoegraceâEU in the game.
When you start the game you are in this black and white world. No sound, no color, no sign of peace. Only discomfort and confusion. Inhabited with morbid and discomforting people that only talk about sad negative or downing subjects that when you walk by them. You don't quite understand what they would mean if you were a kid and think it was something innocent.
The setting of the game is this moody depressing round-based world that rotates to your movement, so you can explore it, and figure out what the world is!
You are this little boy. He is seen with out facial features, no eyes, ears, mouth, ect. Thus he is mute and cant experience the world for what it is.
The little boy is in the park about to burry a time capsule. A mysterious old man walks up to him slowly and tells the boy âEUoethere's nothing inside that thingâEU the boy can only listen not talk back or show any emotion to respond to the old man, yet the old man knows he's listening. The old man then tells the boy âEUoedo you know what your suppose to put in that thing?âEU the boy still doesn't respond. The old man says âEUoe you put whatever makes you, YOU! So you may come back to it when ever you've lost touch in yourself or have forgotten what you mean, coming back to open it back again when the world takes its course on you.âEU The boy then runs off.
The Main objective of the game now is that the boy must find the pieces of himself that makes the world worth seeing so the boy can find grace within it.
The objects you collect in the game ARE the pieces of the boy. Such as, eyes, ears, mouth, ect.
There is one piece of the boy scattered through out a section of the world and the world is divided up into 4 sections. The Park, The City, The Forest, and The Bridge.
Each section has a different way of challenging the players problem solving skills. The four main focuses are memorization for the city, perception for the bridge, awareness for the park, and timing/planning for the forest. You work your way to collect the pieces of the boy's face, which activate the reward for the game.
The reward for finding the pieces of the little boy are the aspects of the world. Such as the music of the world if you found his ears or activate the color of the world when you get his eyes or maybe the ability to talk back to the npc's when he gets his mouth.
Finally when the boy acquires all of his features and the features of the world, the world is now colorful with nice calming music instead of a gust of wind and the ability to cheer up all the npc's through your own grace.
You head back to the time capsule you were about to burry in the beginning and the old man hasn't moved you go ahead and start pulling off your facial features and start putting them in the time capsule, the old man asks âEUoewhy are you putting them away?âEU the boy then says âEUoeI know who I am now and who the world isâEU the old man nods and fades away. The boy is seen walking away from the scene. But the music and the color of the planet still stays.
The end.

Response to: How do we get known? Posted June 27th, 2012 in Animation

That sounds like work. Really hard work. Months and months of really hard work. Maybe years. Learning how to draw. Learning how to animate. Learning how to make a movie. Learning how to edit and record audio. Learning or finding voice actors. And on and on. Isn't there an easier way? A shortcut?

and stop being such a smart ass lol

The number one thing that gets audience attention is parodies, in reality its very rare to get "uber" fame just by making your own original short films or animations, now im not saying youl never be able to do that, prime example, egoraptor... he started making his awesome series based on video games we all love to play and he entertained us with stuff we can relate too and thats what got him his fan base, and now he is starting to make his own original content that the fans he had before, now go to watch and enjoy his OWN stuff.

parodies will get you the fans and after that just go with the flow with your own stuff and you will generate views and a bigger fanbase directed twords your own stuff! :)
