I seem to have just got haggardly fucked whilst swimming, as the better part of the day was just a contented blur and now I'm back in sobriety with the musky taste of whiskey & cigar smoke - along with a dull ache in my kidneys. Thanks for asking though :P
Et toi?

People give me 0s without reason. Why not force people to listen to an entire song before contributing to its score (whether via rating or reviewing)?
True true, if not a bit unnecessary if they really know it isn't going anywhere, but I do notice how songs seem to be unfairly judged, the ones that are blatantly better are often just rated 0 out of pure spite. Perhaps for the more serious audio portal users, everyone should have their votes counted proportionally to their experience in the same way that flash voting is done? It would make it so that newbies wouldn't just enforce their musical taste and enter a single genre just to devalue the higher ranking tunes.

DnB is hard to understand. Poeple think it's easy.... I slap them and spit in there eye...
Thats an understatement. DnB has the most complex rhythms and requires a fair amount of techincal excellence, thats why I practice with sliced drum sample whenever I can.
DnB with synth is still damn good though, Paragon's 'Defection' is a prime example of it being used to accentuate the drumbeat.
Just because you think you are true drum and bass by keeping it to a simpler formula doesn't make it so. You can't hold it down to a single genre and expect people to take interest. If that were the case many decent 'DnB' artists would have never appeared, for instance Shy FX or LTJ Bukem.
I think the DnB club should stay open minded as to what DnB is, you can hear a DnB piece and know that someone is looking for a good tune and not just trying to outdo another in terms of bass depth or speed of drums.
... and on that note, I wouldn't mind actively contributing to an NG DnB club both in discussion and music, if that were ok?
You mean blam stuff?
Submit portal scum. Then wait.
I'd be cool with a gay audio lounge right here. I think for a gay guy a place like this would be one of the best places to come out. The general forum is just spam and crews, they wouldn't be half as understanding as it is here.
I think its the music which does it.
I illustrated the above accordingly (at the bar)
As a veritable tidal wave of water gushes toward the primed breasts of Chrisseh, I turn away and quietly wet myself. The hot moistness reminds me of my Latvian boyhood, and the way in which Olga the housemaid would gently insert me into her vagina to carry me around during the winter months.
I know there are a huge amount of metal artists that are awesome. Most of which I look up to.
Perhaps they are leery about the whole gig. If NG staff / creators are supporting this, I can't see it being a bad thing. Exposure is exposure.
So I hope more decide to throw a tune or two on it.
In fact, I'd say its NG itself that needs more exposure for its audio section, the audio portal is more fun and honest than any of the "band" sections to any friend network, but I think Newgrounds needs to look into expanding the audio portal just a little. I'm sure it wont detract attention from the flash work side.
Apologies for just jumping back in but has that fucking 4chan story that flew off on an unrelated tangent ended yet? I should really keep up to speed, Chrisseh get drawing!

Hahaha you're forgetting everyone else who still supports! The only problem being the lack of really decent metal artists on NG, you cant expect BMI to do it all himself can you?

cornandbeans

Zenon (w/e sn he has now XD)
DJRunaway
Most of these artists are the type I aspire to be, I've recently just hit a better stage in my work as I have started to develop a certain feel for my music, its easier when you use several programs for the different stages of work, the same way in which Paragon uses Reason to finish off her work.
DJ Comet, I noticed your style changed a little also toward your later entries on newgrounds. Was this due to any particular increase in ability or new ways of creating songs?

Thank you, its up to you as the producer of it though, I'm very willing but I'd like to know if stuff was up to standard.
It's the text that does my nut in.
I think it should have a more NG feel, like the very box I'm typing into right now, with the tank and the skyline.
Just seems to do the trick perfectly, maybe a little bright but still very apt.

I keep finding you around man, "Deep Submarine" sits in my library as I think its a perfect example of suitability for purpouse.
I'd be very willing to contribute to this, but for sheer proffessional quality I reckon the likes of cornandbeans, ParagonX9 or Epitome would be most likely to see their stuff hit the shelves in terms of DnB. I'm happy with my last 3 tracks, the rest can fuck off to hell :P
One nifty way to do things, is to get a drum session going and record it on a mic with a decent quality, then just take it on to an appropriate program (most editing suites can do this) and slice a chunk out of it, roughly a few seconds long, and trim it a little till it becomes a decent loop.
It still may sound sketchy at this point, but import it into any music generator and tweak the bass, treble, cut and resonance settings till it sounds like a prime cut. Then you have the basis with which to work.
As was mentioned earlier, something like Fruity Slicer is a great way of cutting the seperate drum hits into bitesized pieces and rearranging to make different patterns later in the song.
I can't drum for shit, so I get a close friend who can play any rhythm to make something which suits my needs. ^_^
Cats ftw.
I happen to be just the opportunist photograhper, but there is nothing more fun than building up a massive archive of stock photo for use later. How often is it you can say "I have just the photograph for this graphic design dilemma?"
I've never seen my cat so happy and at one in a wu-wei scene like this before :)
.. and whilst on the topic, I also drew a penis, and would like to share it with you if it weren't so small. Now I'm all embarrased! OMFCXKwvbfdn

This was older, but I just recently found it and scanned it.
So I guess it's the last piece of work I've properly adjusted.
Just a sketch.
I bet you'd never considered how out of hand this thread would get eh Christina? :P
I've been loving it from start to finish.
Actually, only 2% of people have smoked marajuana, dipshit. And you must be from a pretty fucked up family to have smoked weed at 9. So, was your mother your dad's cousin, his sister, or both?
In the U.S perhaps, in Europe it's much more acceptable and in some cases entirely legal.
Almost every person I have ever known has at least tried grass or hash, so it doesn't quite have it's mystique about it.
It's just so over hyped in it's negative sense, it's so much easier to enjoy than say, masses of alcohol.
My best way of describing it in comparison to drink situations would be that:
A drunkard would have difficulty in controlling his actions.
Someone who is fried on the other hand, will know fine what they are doing, but can't figure the reason why. ^_^
Everybody remembers their first toke though.
For those that say it didn't have an effect on them or that they think it works differently for different people; one thing, you aren't smoking enough, there is a difference between being slightly mellow and being full out stoooooooned.
(Sorry for the double post)
Love xxxx
So good, I hope you take more drugs in the future to enhance your semen power.
Gave me a case of the roffles.
Artillery live isnt a hassle to get onto, its just a little tedious to play when waiting for other people to join the game, I wonder what will happen to it when it gets lost amongst everything, I can't see it getting into anything like the all time rankings.
Xmas for the lose.
It used to have something cool about it, now either my heart has shrunk and I just hate things, or it is possible that the morbidly obese housebreaking fuck who drinks the alcohol you left out for your morning sorrow drowning, has taken a swing away from teaching folk a lesson like he used to.
I thought he was obliged to give something minimalist, like coal, to the ones who he deemed 'naughty', now he seems to give all the pricks in their cul-de-sacs a gift worth more than a small Estonian child.
Take me for example, I was a repulsive cunt all year, and I still got stuff. Bah. So why am I complaining.
I WANT GODDAMN CLOSURE!!!
I cant be with my friends on xmas, so the gifts are just a little commercial compensation eh?
When I am bought a gift, I am meant to feel obliged to return the gesture. So technically, I should not have lost out in terms of gift giving and the "thought that counts". Though this way, every single gift outlet in town is going to have a booming business, as Christmas is more their time than it is for the consumer.
Places are closed because people are supposedly with their families, bah humbug, I'd rather be alone on Xmas, eating at some seedy diner, and getting horrificly wasted.
This day just encourages people to be kind to one another on the one day, so that they feel no remorse over being an asshole for the remainder of the year. I am the grinch all year - so stfu.
Merry rape

True, I have many friends who are, but none of them are clinically depressive and they obsess over tiny problems such as losing boyfriends/girlfriends and family issues.
Hahaha me and my friends made a film quite a while back in which we were all emos and battled against all the other stereotypes who put us down, it was damn funny, if I may say so myself, but the minor technical hitch - it was filmed in school. So we got our asses kicked for it due to new laws. How the hell can you be a paedophile about folk your own age?
Listen to both, you will notice little simalarites, I think its also to do with the change in sound recording used now (equalizers etc.) and the introduction of Robert. Although he does play their older songs pretty well.
Bah, 2 days later. All nukes seem to have magically failed and the moons death ray only killed a few midgets whom nobody really knew the names of anyway.
