OK, reality check............Obama looks poised to win again in the election, but the Dems WILL NOT retake the house and, very likely, will not be able to maintain a real, working majority in the Senate.

Those fantasies of Marxian redistribution of wealth, via "Obamunism", are not going to happen.

What we will probably get is at least 2 years of gridlock.......unless those fools can learn to cooperate.

A little bit out of date. Since 2009, the rhetoric among the far right extremists (NSM, KKK, etc) has become increasingly strident. I guess they don't like the President's "Paint job".

I understand the loose connection between what the CEOs are doing and what Unions and Attack ads say, but there is one key difference that makes this one stand out. Whereas neither Unions or the creators of attacks ads have any power to enact their doomsday claims, the CEOs have the direct power to enact them.

Think of it like some random person saying you're going to get shot if you do something versus a guy visibly holding a gun telling you that. The first guy would come off as a warning, the second would come off as a threat. That's the line is very close to being crossed here, if it has not been crossed already.

No CEO is going to shut down their operations for the mere reason that Obama has been elected. This would leave them with millions in assets (properties, buildings, machinery, vehicles, etc.) that, not only are not making him any money, but they actually will cost him money in taxes, upkeep, and other costs.

It's all, as I say, bullshit.......Romney and Obama are closer to center than most people realize.....or want to admit.

You say apathy but that is not the right word at all as a choice to not vote took at leased as much thought but more than likely more than the choice to vote. Trust and as you say apathy are very different. There are many people who could give a dam about politics because they are to busy living and enjoying life and to you that is apathy which is a complete false statement. To loose trust in the system means one is actually thinking and using there brain functions therefore not voting is contrary to apathy.

Not voting because one loses trust in the system is a form of voter apathy.

Obama is a gun toting, pro military, religious nut? OK, he does love drone strikes, but he really, really hates what is in my gun cabinet.

I believe in the non-aggression principle as it is one that can not be argued against without admitting that you condone the initiation of violence. An eye for an eye leave's "US" all blind.

That is.........a good description of one reason behind voter apathy.

:You could say that low voter turnout is as legitimate as high turnout as long as the right to vote exists but that is very highly dictatorship like and as well it is very pretentious. I choose not to vote and that is my right and I expect you to respect it just as I respect your right to vote.

I'm not telling you whether or not you should vote. Your choice on the matter is just that......your choice. All I'm saying is that boycotting elections will be seen by the powers that be as mere voter apathy. Your first sentence in your post says exactly that.

Real radical changes in our system may require armed revolution........and that's a big can of worms that might best be left unopened.

Just because you might not mind letting your bussy get diddled by your favorite politicians does not mean actively withholding your vote is a bad idea until they clean up there collective act.

Boycotting the vote isn't going to help. They'll write it off as apathy instead of protest.
